Yes it's a Ren'Py game, with quite a bit of python code of course.Pugfarts wrote:I like that shirtless hunk there. Very old-school Fabio/John Carter. Is this all done in renpy?

After looking at your latest picture, Dora really should be one of the "winnable" heroines!

Yes Ren'Py but it involves A LOT of python coding. Been working on this with Anima (main coder) for... about 6 months I think (not every day though!).Pugfarts wrote: Was this done in renpy though?

Okay, I REALLY don't mean to sound snarky, but does no one in the world this takes place in aim for the torso? Loren has what appears to be shoulder armor, but nothing covering her chest/stomach areas. Amukiki doesn't even have that. I get (or at assuming) it's supposed to be sexy, but it's just bugging me. Well since I don't have 3d art, nor planned to have a visual representation for all the 200+ armor pieces, I had to found a compromise the images are purely a representation - having Amukiki / Loren in full plate suit would have been more realistic but slightly less interesting!

Re: Loren Amazon Princess RPG
We've been bugfixing/tweaking and adding new features (big and small) to the battle system for the last week. Just added damage prediction displayed on the affected units:
I think we're at good point honestly, but is still a lot of work since I need to add all the sound/visual effects for many skills. Probably by end of month could have the battle basics done with all skills and effects, but I still need to balance the skills / enemy / equipment and they take a lot of time in my experience
Plot-wise, I am very confident this will the best game I have done. Aleema writing in some parts is really excellent: my favorite romances so far are Loren - Saren, Elenor - Karen (yuri but really particular, with strong themes like suicide, honor, etc) and Rei - Elenor (which I presume will be the favorite by female players).

Re: Loren Amazon Princess RPG
Well I have decided to just add simple FX for now and concentrate on testing, and enemy/encounters while Anima is working on the last big part (the vendor code), to try having the beta out at end of month. I can always add special FX later, after all the gameplay rules work

Re: Loren Amazon Princess RPG
A short gameplay video:
it's almost the final version of the battle, even if there are still some template icons, and surely some adjustment needed to some skills (Karen's Strikethrough is too powerful right now for example).

Re: Loren Amazon Princess RPG
I need some input on this: I was using a "unrelated background" for each enemy. It's like in a card RPG game, where the character is displayed over a background (but can be not the battle background). In my 2nd attempt, I tried simply using a transparent sprite. But I am not sure what is better! Using transparent is quicker, but to me seems that the one with background looks better:

I agree, the first one with the little field in the background looks better.
The background adds more color and contrast, which (I think) is good. C:
