Hey everyone, just signing the guestbook.
I'm Nick, or Shotgun Ninja, whichever you prefer. I'm 20, from Milwaukee, WI, US, and I am a student and intern of Software Engineering (with a focus on game development), as well as a huge anime nerd.
My hobbies include (occasional) cooking, cleaning, doing dishes, studying, doing homework, sketching, developing concepts/ideas for games, watching lots of anime, chatting in IRC, and toying with Ren'Py, of course. I play mostly Minecraft, Counter-Strike: Source, and (currently) Yume Nikki, since they're the only games I can really play without getting too deeply involved and losing track of work or my studies.
I just recently found out about Ren'Py and the OELVN scene from (you guessed it) Katawa Shoujo, and I've been interested previously in making a game that captures the drama and excitement of an anime convention, as a simple starting point in my future game development career, so my presence here is a combination of those two factors. I'm not necessarily knowledgeable or experienced with the field, but I come with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
My (limited) expertise dwells in the areas of conceptualization, project management, programming, and team leadership, although I've also taken a college-level art class or two, I've done some creative and technical writing and drafting in the past, and I'm pretty good with the French horn.
Well, before I ramble any further, I'll close this up by saying that it's great to find a community like this, and I look forward to seeing what else the community is capable of doing.
