YES!!! That's good! We were worried nobody would even think of playing this!
I know right! XD One of the reasons all the older people hate us is because we are making all sorts of jokes (Moulding reeds, blowing, f-holes, and many more!) Clarinets were always the instrument we picked on though (They are fun to annoy~ x3) CORK GREASE!! (Oh the memories ) I also remember when we all tried to play with just our headpieces! I love the sound the mouthpieces make!

I would love it for a game with human sprites and stuff, so they fit how we see the instruments XD

I would probably choose the violin for my fav, as I imagine it would be the tsundere of instruments XD Like, when you ge started on it, it sounds really shitty, and you may even convince yourself that the instrument actually does hate you lol XD
But as time passes, and you get better it's (in my opinion) pretty much the most beautiful-sounding instrument >u>
Some pieces with a violin also sound very dramatic, you know, like dey be rapin' da violin, so I could also imagine a character with a very dramatic or troubled past

If this game will be at least half as cracktastic as Hatoful Boyfriend is, and doesn't take itself seriously, then I'll definitely play it when it's done. I'm always in the mood for a good laugh. If you haven't played Hatoful yet, you definitely should. Making all of your sprites actual pictures of instruments makes game creation easier. Since it's your first game, I suggest keeping the number of love interests small...like one brass and one woodwind just to start. If you can manage two, then consider adding more. Good luck!

After playing the full version of Hatoful Boyfriend, I don't think anything strikes me as odd anymore. I'm always game for a good, cracktastic and hilarious read, so you can expect me to be checking this out.


The only instrument I can really play is the lyre, (And I even suck at it) so I'm definitely hoping to see what its characterization would be like. And, oh, what about the cymbals?! It could probably be twins or something. XD

Ahaha! I'm so glad people are interested! I'm probably going to post somthing in the WIP section soon! (We have been working on everything as a joke for about a week or two now XD Now we neeed to be all srs and all that jazzzz!!)
And Hatoful boyfriend, I went to hug my birds after playing that (No pun intended...) but the wild partridges just made weird noises and ran away...
I have 2 sprites drafted (Pah, I'm just gunna casually get my friend to do them... I don't art...) And there isn't many love interests right now (Although we will probably add more paths as we finish them!) But there are SO many characters!
I just need to get my friend to help me design a logo and all that so I can post the WIP ahaha!

I totally dig this idea! I can already see some of the characters unfolding~ I bet it'd be better than pigeons (Hatoful Boyfriend) if you execute it correctly. I'd really love to see the way you push this plot. If you ARE to create it, then I'll make sure to keep track of the WIPs and such as I see this being an immensely entertaining game to play as its whimsical twist sets it apart from the humdrum of typical dating sims/romance visual novels.

I hate to use the word twice, but no. I don't see it weird. I would describe the idea as whimsical and quirky.

I really cannot wait to see the piano personified as it is my favorite instrument.

*u* And, and (don't mind me, it's late and I've got the sleepy sillies) and-- the guitars can be twins~ Electric vs Acoustic. If you can't fit all the characters in one story line... SEQUEL! *shot for being overzealous*

Not the French Horn!! It's so blunt and hardly a step above the harpsichord.
It would be interesting to see a game like this, but the music would have to be very nice, I imagine
