The fact that someone who can barely program (me) can put together a little game AND have it packaged for three different OS's (plus Android) is nothing short of amazing.

I need to take down the donation note the next time I update the Ren'Py website. I don't need them at the moment. (I won't necessarily rule out sponsorships - of things like server bandwidth - by people making money from Ren'Py, but those are more of a special case.)

Really, the most important thing you can do is to pay it forward. Create things, and make what you create available for others to use, ideally under permissive licenses like Ren'Py's - even if you worry what people will do with the stuff you release under those licenses. As you learn to do things - or figure them out - share what you've learned with the next person.

(This doesn't have to be just restricted to Ren'Py.)
