Just thought I should ask a quick question: since I'll be adding a bit of background story here in there, how would you want to read it?

If you ask me, I very much like NVL style. The problem is, it doesn't work with all sorts of stories. If you rely on effects a lot (and I think many horror VNs will), ADV style is the more logical choice. The "presentation screen" is kept clean of everything that's not presentation then, and the visual aspect of the horror will get across better.

Been a while since I last updated this. No, the project is not dead, just a little slow. This is truly a test of my writing skills since it has a bit of mundane day-to-day actions (which are during the day time) as well as trying to make my characters a bit more believable. Currently, I've created a skeletal draft of the routes and are working on the bad end routes (since they are not only the shortests, but branch off the least) Hope to post more updates soon.

Also, I found an artist, here's a small sample of one of the characters:

I for one am very happy.

Expect a bit more work on this after I finish up TFR.

Man...fantastic idea. I haven't read many visual novels that focus on horror lately and there is a definite need for more good horror/supernatural visual novels. Even though you only have the logo and interface up, it looks amazing. I haven't read the flow chart (don't want to spoil this one :)), but it all looks very promising and original. I really love the atmosphere and story depth that I can see already from the premise.

Yeah, I keep forgetting to update the post with the bios. (Which I just did, with their concepts as well)

The flowchart is now useless, I redid it a while back so...
*Still goes to remove it*

Here's a little snipped from the intro:
Quote:
Otto trembled in fear as the screams echoed in his head, blinding him from the pain. The were the screams of his fellow passengers: students, teachers, all of them. But their pain was something only he could witness; no one else could hear those ephemeral sounds.
Just as he began to be overwelmed by their cries, a soothing voice broke through the madness.
Anthony "Shh...it's alright Otto, relax."
The teen felt a pair of hands touch his face. Through the fog he managed to make out the face of his friend.
Otto "A-Anthony..."
Anthony "Yes, that's right. Now focus on me Otto. Ignore everything else. Just take a deep breath...and focus."
Otto did as instructed and fixed his focus upon him. Slowly, the voices subsided and were replaced with the sounds of the evening.
Anthony "Better?"
Otto "Yeah, thanks."
