Our Heroine

Megan Mueller



A high-strung, energetic girl with a fiery temper whom is an aspiring model. Megan is the main character. She lost her mother as a child, and in an effort to do her mother's memory justice she has a drive to succeed that can't be matched. Her mother instilled a strong belief in herself and her abilities that she carries with her through every area of her life. She can pose with the best of them, but her impatience and crassness could kill her career. Will the realities of this competitive and cut-throat industry beat her down?

The Agent

Daniel Leeves



Daniel is absolutely frustrated with his image. Everyone sees him as a cute little boy and not the professional modeling agent he aspires to be. He took over the company the moment his father died and hasn’t looked back since; he simply doesn’t have the time. He’s always busy, constantly trying to mold the Beauty Productions Modeling Agency into the one, dominating force in fashion. Breaks and vacations are foreign concepts to him. Snotty and bratty, he never learned people skills and never wants to. After all, people should learn how to deal with HIM. He’s bossy and wants to get his way, especially in terms of fashion and what looks good, and is forever frustrated by what he sees as the flaws in other people. However, he has another side to him: a little boy who misses his dad and just wants to do the man’s legacy justice.

He insists on being called Mr. Leeves, something that annoys Megan to no end.


The Cruel Model

Loris Bennet



Loris is a model. On the inside he's just an insecure guy who lashes out at the world to hide the fact that he feels like he never measures up. On the outside he’s snide, arrogant and sarcastic, launching insults at anyone who comes within five feet of him. He gets angry often. Loris is frenemies with Trey--on one hand they’ve known each other since preschool, on the other he’s his biggest competition. He simultaneously admires and envies Trey.


The Flamboyant Celebrity

Trey Moore



An attractive young man who is something of a veteran in the industry, starting his career as a model at 16. He’s the life of the parties and his sarcastic, quick wit and love for people have made him one of the few male models anyone recognizes. He’s a celebrity, and people know him for his personality as much as for his career. Whether he’s having drunken debacles with young, pretty heiresses and heirs, broken engagements to women twice his age or saying outrageous things to fire off the media, Trey is always on the front of tabloids and fashion mags.


The Cool Guy

David Ward



Calm, cool and collected, David is the sort who doesn’t get excited about anything. He's a photographer specializing in models. Lazy but never pretentious, he’s an art school drop out who is just starting to make a name for himself, and he thinks that Megan just might be the fresh, pretty face he’s looking for to make it happen.

So what's done?

Writing: The Prologue and Loris's route are completed. All that's left is for the other 3 boy's routes.
The Art: The sprites are all created. They only need different facial expression to be completed. Some CGs are being done and so is the title screen.
Programming: This is the very last thing that will be done and hasn't been started yet.



I created this thread with the intent of sharing progress and updates of the game. Hopefully I can get some discussion too.

Your main character has potential. It's not too often that a woman protagonist in a romance game has charisma and motivation. Also, it sounds like you're willing to portray her as a normal, flawed person.



This sort of character would be difficult to deal with in real life. Not many people can deal with a prima donna celebrity. It might be challenging to portray him in a positive light.

Far less important is that he's wearing two belts. One is normal, two might be fashionable or eccentric... just don't let the belts get out of hand...

Trey's arc is all about the contrast he poses to Megan's more down-to-earth personality. A lot of his route will be grounding his ego, which admittedly could become annoying if I'm not careful. Most people put up with Trey's prima Donna personality, but Megan refuses to. There is another side to him that manifests itself around Loris and Megan.

Megan is flawed but generally a good person with good intentions. She's loud, but she means well unless someone crosses her.

Two belts. Haha. I didn't even notice them. I guess my artist felt he was too cool for one belt. Speaking of which, Loris does have a chain on his pants....

Progress~

Daniel's route is progressing nicely. I'm currently 1000 words into his route.

My friend (http://exagie.deviantart.com) did the title screen for the VN. I still need to create a background for it, but I think it looks rather nice.
