Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom, there was a young woman bullied by her evil step-mother and her step-sisters. It is said that her Fairy Godmother helped her to marry a prince and that they lived rich, happily ever after and had lot of children. Or maybe it was a lie and the story didn’t go as you would have expected…

So here is the first visual novel of Träumendes Mädchen, a french visual novel creation team. It's based on the tale "Cinderella". The visual novel is now available in french and in english ! Thanks to Chushiki Maho and DragoonHP :)
Also, it was made in less than a week, we had a lot of work ;p

We'd be glad to know your feelings about it ! :D

That's kind of ironic. My french class just did a small Cinderella play in french a couple weeks ago. It's too bad I'm not at a very high level, but I might try this out anyways and see how much I can understand. :)
The art looks cute and it seems interesting! Way to go, making it in a week! I'll try to let you know what I think of it. :D

That was unexpected. Hopefully I didn't misinterpret anything. >.<

It was actually nice to see a Cinderella story where Cinderella had average sized feet. Haha. The poor prince, getting stuck with Angelica. The glass slipper copy was clever though. The way the prince and Cinderella met again was so cute and sad. At least they were together for a short time. T^T This was a good story, and as sad as it was, I enjoyed it. The art is beautiful, and the fairy godmother's appearance was surprising. The music was beautiful as well. The whole thing was just put together so well. :) Lovely kinetic novel. Thanks for sharing it!


And one day I am going to take more french classes! D8

Thanks a lot ! It's quite amazing for us to read a comment from a foreigner, the visual novel must be hard to read, with a lot of difficult expressions ! Congratz :)
And yeah, take more french classes for all the visual novel we're gonna release in the future ! You'll never regret it :3

But Roganis, your signature claims you're a "translator of Visual Novels"! Why not translate your own work? That'd certainly make it more accessible to the community here.

I'm a translator who translates french from english. I can't do it in reverse side :/
It's quite hard to explain it, but a translator can translate from language A to language B, but it's a lot harder to translate from language B to language A for him ^^"

I think what Roganis is trying to say is that you can know a language well enough to understand its meaning, but that doesn't mean you can write in it and make it sound natural, or make sense. I'm kind of like that with Chinese, only, for me, it's that I'd have a better chance at translating Chinese to English, but I'd probably fail either way :lol:

Hmm, I've been studying French for 7 years now, so I think I'm alright at it. Maybe I could translate, but I can't guarantee anything. Unfornately I have exams next week so I'll be busy for a while, but once I've finished I'll give it a go.

It was pretty hard to read but I enjoyed it :). The story was nice and very bitter-sweet. I felt sad for the both of them
(Angelica was indeed quite evil)
, but I liked how it went past the original story, used logic, and the prince and Cinderella were sweet. The music was fitting as well.

However, though the art fit the mood of the story, I think it could have been a little bit cleaner and more detailed than it was now; it looked like simple sketches to me now.

I hope you do! I think it's a nice enough story to share and I didn't understand everything that was said or explained.

Thanks ! It was quite hard indeed to do it in a week, but it was also an interesting way of doing it ! We had to stay focused on the most important parts of it, so we couldn't do real CG, they had to stay like sketches ^^'

Good luck for reading it ! I really hope to find a translator in the coming days, all of you guys are really nice, playing it in a language you barely know :/

In fact, it was made at the Epitanime event (http://www.epita-convention.com/). There was a visual novel contest. You had to make a visual novel in a night's length. We did 70% of the visual novel there, but it was buggy and quite rough, so we improved it in the week, and here it is :)

(I'm feeling a bit more smarter since I just passed my French proficiency test. Whew xD . )
EDIT: BLEHHH . I keep getting the "Update your DirectX" popup thingy -___-.
This KN will be on hold for me, until I can beat my computer, I mean, get it to work o; .
