Basically just starting a short project to get over my apprehension about finishing my main game, and was wondering if a writer might be interested in joining me! The project is (tentatively) Halloween themed, set to be completed by October 31st, as a short non-commercial game.

Premise:
A young witch is sent as an apprentice to the three witches of Amalgam, as part of the final test for her school's Halloween exam. Ecstatic to be training under the legendary witches, she sets out in high spirits... only to learn the witches are all completely crazy.

Tone: Comedy/light hearted, with some scary or dramatic moments. Not a serious story though.

Notes: Has g/g romances. I was was thinking one could be with one of the three witches, who vainly uses magic to improve her appearance, and another could be with one of the witches homunculus.

You can see some examples from my other game here. I'll be handling the sprites and backgrounds. Artwork will have a bit of a spooky flair with lots of curled rooftops, neon potions, grimoires, gargoyles, grinning trees, candles, bats, etc.

What is your definition of "short"? I've seen 5k "short", but I know some people also consider 20k to be "short".

I guess it depends, but I mostly mean it's not a large game that would be hard to do by the deadline, so if the writer thinks a 20k word script is totally doable then that's perfect.

But probably under 2 hours with doable art needs. (5-6 sprites, 9-12 or so backgrounds)

i would like to apply to write something for you, i like your idea, its cool, and you can use it in a lot of ways, like a series, every full moon they must travel to where its always halloween and do this or that, to set the winds between the two worlds back to their rightful time from when this thing did that or something, , , lol, one lovely powerfully attractive witch uses her magic to make her stunning to stand by, so some of the time the other characters in her presence might make silly mistakes, she loves her beauty and doesnt care that shes is breaking the rules, while another has succomed to the playfulness of the homnoculus, it could keeping tickling her from across the room, or something
