I'm still trying to figure out what kind of music I want to use for my visual novel and got a little overwhelmed when I was browsing through music marketplaces that sell sound packs for video games.
My game is a comical mystery noir, but I really just want to start getting some music in there so I can tell what feels right and what doesn't. Does anyone else use placeholder music? If so where did you get that music from and how do you choose what to use?
What do you use for placeholder music?

Re: What do you use for placeholder music?
I've gone into the creative commons and browsed around for music that "feels" good for my game. As a bonus, if I end up liking it, I can always continue using it.
Enjoy Eidolon, my free to play game at: https://mutive.itch.io/eidolon, Minion! at: https://mutive.itch.io/minion or Epilogue at: https://mutive.itch.io/epilogue

I mostly just use royalty free music or silence.

Re: What do you use for placeholder music?
I just keep things silent until I find the music I want. I don't rally feel the need to have music, I actually often even play VNs with the sound off, so It's never too important to me. If I was sharing a demo in the future and waiting for someone on music I would likely still do the same.
