I've decided to start a WIP of this game too
It tells the story of an IT that just got fired, and somehow gets sucked into the poker world. It will be like a normal VN/dating sim, and despite the appearances isn't an hentai game (hehe sorry) even if features strip scenes (but only backface nudity).
I'm writing the story and PyTom is making the poker game engine itself. The good news for PyTom is that I hired an english writer to write the game script, so he won't have to waste time fixing my english and can concentrate only on the poker engine

p.s. as you can see found a way to put the word "heart" into this game too!

These games you're making look really good, but what's even better is seeing some of them push the limits of the game engine and expand its possibilities. I'm looking forward to this one (althought not quite as much as that sci-fi one you've got going).

Dang it, youy've combined my love of poker with a dating sim....I HAVE to give this one a go!

It looks good so far, can't wait to see the finished product!

EDIT: While this be 5 card draw poker, 7 carde stud, Texas hold'em...what style of poker will this be?

Well, I finally got around to teaching myself how to play texas hold-em. So that's progress. (Actually, that was the big mental block. Writing a poker AI is easy compared to dealing with the annoying bits of the rules.)

lol no, there will be those 4 "main opponent", but through the game you'll play for everything. With a homeless guy, with a private detective offering you a new job, with a jealous boyfriend, etc...

Jokes apart writing a good AI is surely hard. Must be because of that if even top designer/programmers like Sid Meier used a system of mixed cheating when making masterpieces like Civilization series....

WOW is almost 1 year since I have last updated this thread!
But finally we're at very good point. Sake-bento wrote the story, editing what was already done and finishing the rest with her usual great writing I'm having lots of fun testing the game, especially the strip poker part
I can't say yet when will be released, but May seems a good guess!
