So this sketching is a coloring thing and not a lineart thing? ^-^;; Could you explain this briefly for the artistically illiterate one over here?


I'm sure this'll be fine, and we got some time before you guys will get stuff to color, but please work this out with drawing_is_fun before you make major decisions.



drawing_is_fun, what would you like to do? Does this make sense to you/is this good with you?

Btw, just for future reference, can I have everyone's genders? XD So I can refer to you with the right pronoun.

what do you mean by doing sketches?..you mean i'm going to do character design?,.
well, sketching is fun...but i like coloring too.. either way is good for me,
I just wanted to know what specifically i will do , since i think blueeyes1345 will do all the linear..

any pronoun will be good for me even "IT" haha.,

hmm i got a tablet and pen for drawing and coloring and uses Adobe Photoshop for everything from lineart to colors.
I dun use the pen tool in photoshop though. prefer to use bursh tool more control and feel over what i do.

Personally, i find it easier to lineart my own drawing but i could try lineart for someone else sketches too if that works for you ^^

I think everyone knows this, but just for clarification: Blueeyes is doing both the character design and the lineart, and drawing_is_fun is working on the color. JinzouTamashii, if you want to help out, you and drawing_is_fun are going to work on the coloring together.

So is there a good way for you two to split the coloring chores? If one of you does the sprites and the other does the cgs, then I think it would be ok if you each did your own thing as long as you watched what each other were doing and kept things like hair color and clothes colors consistent enough that the viewer will recognize the character immediately.

If you guys have other ideas, please share them and talk with each other.

i'll pm it to you.. yeah my name is drawing_is_fun,.but its fun to color too,.,perhaps i need to change my name..i use both PNG and PSD, any of the two will do (but i prefer PSD).. since we will wait for the linear art that would be given by Blueeyes i would like to have his email as well..

Okay, okay, I got mixed up. I thought blueeyes was doing the lines not the line art... well, me and drawingisfun will split coloring, shading and other duties and everyone will use PSD as the preferred format.

carosene, do you have a full list of CG, characters, and scenes you will need? You listed 7 sprites, 13 CG, and 9 backgrounds so we can probably make them all look really good.

Those were rough numbers... so don't count on them too much. ^-^;; Though that's about right... And that's sprite number is the number of character sprites, so for character times emotions, the number will probably come closer to twenty. (Totally pulled that number out of nowhere.)

I'm working on it. Would you guys like too look at it all ASAP?
And would you like to see it in like a rough list, or would you guys like it with my artist-directions?
I can probably get the whole thing finalized in two-three days.

Yes, we'll need to look at it. And it'll give me an idea of what I'm doing, the overall mood and theme because that will influence some of the lighting and color choices. I wouldn't have red dominant in a sad scene or cool colors for a loving scene at two o' clock in the afternoon.

For all the expressions, it's extra effort but using a PSD with layers, not as much as you might think...

I'll probably want to check it over for typos and overall quality of the text like I did with Der Tor. blueeyes and drawingisfun might not be too picky, but I like anything my work is directly associated with to have decent writing, including spelling and grammar...

Free proofreading for you, basically.

Haha, i may not be the best person to check the grammar since, i'm uhhh..not a native speaker of this language..

Oh, it's so cute! XD Good luck to everyone too! And hey, I'm great with random posts. XD This is supposed to be fun!

Here's what I have so far. Just a script, no placeholders or anything yet. if you play it without developer's tools it may be confusing, because all the things like setting the scene and such are in my notes, though most of the game is in the dialogue, so hopefully it won't be too confusing. I hope. ^-^;; There may be a couple of notes towards the end I put in the script in to explain the last image. (I forget whether I took them out or not. O.o;)

I hope you like it. ^-^;; I'm kind of afraid to show it to you guys because I'm afraid you'll think it's a dumb project and jump ship. XD It's a bit weird, and not really for everyone. ^-^;; But anywho.
And I know I need to update my Ren'py. I'll definitely do that before the final release. O.o

I'm off to work on the list. :3

By the way, are we all Windows people here?
