Roof & Dragon: visual novel in 24 hours!
As a personal challenge, a mood piece made in 24 hours. With music and everything. 488 words, several pictures. Please do take a look, and even more, I encourage everyone to attempt this as well.
Main lesson learned: finding good music takes awful lot of time. Also, this is too short a time to get answers from forums..

I don't know whether there needs to be a deep analysis - probably not, but suffice to say I found it, played it, and liked it. Maybe it was because of its shortness (took me two minutes or so), maybe it was the graphics - it's truly nicely done. And, it feels polished and complete, I really liked the experience.

I figure the shorter a game is, the easier it is to polish nicely. My first game was short, but my last game was 10,000 words... it took me so long to write it, that i had no more time to polish it And the one i am working on now is a translation of a Japanese VN. It must have about 200,000 words i wanna finish it but as i am dragging it out others begin to have their doubts if i can finish it.
So a short game definitely has it's advantages... your game demonstrates that nicely... it was extremely short but i still enjoyed it very much. It really was done nicely.
Just one question about the plot itself:

Just one question about the plot itself:
Did she commit suicide in the end?

While it can certainly interpreted that way, Der Tor, I personally prefer the genre of magical realism. In the sense that yes, what you read is what really happens..

Just played it. It was incredible. Loved the art style. I don't know why it made me so sad, though.
I decided trying, but as I can't draw... Things got difficult.

Browsing VNDB earlier today, I discovered that my sole contribution to the world of visual novels has been translated into russian. I feel so flattered..
I haven't sadly finished any of my other projects yet, not even the unannounced NaNoReMo projects. My art skills are way higher now, as my blog archives show, but my writing habits are totally unsuitable for anything longer. I do have really polished outlines by now though..

I'll give it a look-see. I gave your blog a browse, and I'm seeing a lot of improvement there. If you need a writing team, I'm pretty sure I can help.
I'm going to get off my soap-box now, and let you get back to your day.
