it's hard for me to browse the content of this forum , so i have a suggestion to separate its topic based on gxb, bxg, yuri, yaoi, and all of those combination
 Well, seems that's not the direction we're heading for ! For example, as far as I can see, the still new bi-polar work in progress forums  just merged into one... again ! And as far as I'm concerned, I'm quite satisfied.

@virtual_vk: That's a problem we've brought up half a year ago and the only solution tried was to make a GxB forum. There's questionable ethics in just making a GxB forum, not to mention games can be defined by more than the romance elements inside of it. I'm sure people would like to search for RPG vs Mystery games as well as the gender of the protagonist. So I'm not sure subforums are even the answer here. What we want is a phpBB hack that can categorize and filter threads within one forum. Meaning, searchable tags or visually different topic "types". Looking over phpBB hack repositories, there are at least a couple of mods already out there for that.

If it's possible to have outline type topics, I suggest this arrangement :
>>>Recruitment
>>Game Recruitment
>>Service Offers

>>>Works in Progress
>>Romance
>Otome
>Bishoujo
>(insert anything here, I forgot the rest)
>>(othersss~)

That's a SUGGESTION peeps! Don't take it seriously XDD

Agh, bleck. Let's not suffer from too-many-subforums syndrome. =P
(I refuse for my games which will inevitably labeled otome to be placed in a forum called otome. I'm sure the "bishoujo" game devs agree, if they even realize I'm talking about them.)

>>Service Offers
That actually sounds quite good. Gets my vote.

Right now, service offers are part of the recruitment forum, as there really aren't terribly many. If we see a need for another subforum, then we'll create one.

In general, we try not to have too many subforums, because splitting things up tends to make things more confusing, and you might miss something that you actually want to see. For instance, the current work in progress Planet Stronghold would obviously be categorized under "sci-fi." However, it also has several romantic endings including GxB, GxG, and BxG. Anyone looking for a GxB game would miss it if they never bothered to look under "sci-fi."

You're welcome to leave you thoughts on the new forum changes in the announcement thread here.

Not really, you just have to post some form of progress be it a summary, screenshots, or a demo*
(*Only applicable if your project is that far in development)

Now there's an idea: Make another forum area called "Daydreams" to get those posts out of the way! :-)
This is such a win idea!

I mean, it would be great if we can get all the theoretical out in the open and eventually recruit a team that is fully invested in the story and production.
It reminds me of how Katawa Shoujo was started. All from a simple idea...

@silenteve, we actually have this forum now, it's the Ideas/old works in progress sub-forum. :)

First page here.
Blue Lemma wrote:2) Posts must have links to relevant work! In other words, DO NOT post something like "Hey, I have this awesome idea for an RPG where blah blah blah, and I need help" UNLESS you can show some progress on it! (Otherwise, it's not a work-in-progress, but a daydream  ) If you are posting to offer help, please give examples of the kind of work you do.
So basically have content in your post showing you have some work done. Otherwise if you haven't started anything rule of thumb here is don't post.

Then this should not be ideas since ideas are first to come up before initial development

In practice, very little work can give you an thread in the ideas forum. But it's way better to spend a little time working before announcing - so you know what you're talking about, and can ask for help intelligently.
