We could include the main characters outside the mechs, the majority of them are martial artist, or we could just use the original Arashi (main character's black mech).

Look, I'm definitely including the Nightmares and probably including Asha from the Nexiverse. All we need to do is have THOSE level attacks (the Bliss, deleting your file in the Nexus) as plot devices.

As everyone known, I have knowledge of wargaming, played (too?) many TRPG, having "Italian salt" (that is, strong sense of humour) plus a rather dangerous way of lateral thinking ;)

If you need more guys, Aquae has currently 2 main characters who are guys: Kaizarel and Frain.

That might not even need to be a spoiler, I've already said my project was Gurren Lagann inspired, you could just guess.
The big question I have here is...

1. Who's going to code the battle system for this game?
2. Can I borrow that system if/when/ever it's done?

Right! Sakurazaki, please do include the Aquae main characters. I'll also ask the creators of Lucky Rabbit Reflex, RE:Alistair and Dream Saviour Gakuen.

We need a couple more futuristic/mecha dudes - Josh is getting ronery over there - and then I think I'll lock the cast list.

Da Fool - honestly, I see no reason not to put what we learn about battle scripting in the cookbook when we're done, so we will. I'm not sure that you'd want Super Robot Wars style combat, but there are things in it applicable to all sorts tactical or Dragon-Warrior style combat.

Can you show me a sample game with tactical, turn based combat? If so, you're in as battle programmer.
