A Short Questionnaire for LSF members

Um, I hope it's all right to do this. Would it be all right for a few willing participants to answer a few questions? XD
I have to write an essay for my English class about communities, and I thought it would be cool to do LSF :3 Interview isn't required for the essay but I think it would be a lot more interesting to have your input.
Feel free to send the answers in a PM if you don't want it posted here. And let me know if you don't want me to put your username in the essay when I quote you (you'll be referred to as a user wishing to remain anonymous).
They're a bit deep questions so just answer to the best of your ability. Even the most simple answer will be helpful ^^ Thank you all.
Questions (Please answer them all, even if you can only say 'I don't know')
The stuff in the parenthesis is my simple explanation of the questions
Why are you a member of LSF?
What is a visual novel, in your own words?
How has the community evolved over time? How fast does it evolve?
Does LSF have any practices or "rituals"? (Anything that almost everyone on the forum does?)
How do we know who "belongs" or "doesn't belong" in this community? (For example, how do you differentiate a 'newbie' from a 'veteran' or how do we recognize a 'troll' or 'spammer')
What is its history?
How does LSF use language to communicate? What about other ways of communicating? (What are some terms that are special to LSF or internet forums in general)
How do members of LSF recognize each other? (How do we know who is who on these forums?)
What physical traces, if any, does this community create? (Have we left some kind of imprint on the real world?)
