I usually take a walk because it's a great way to clear my head and get away from the overwhelming situation for a while. Listening to some music can be good too, though, especially if the music has no words, like a video game OST.
My first completed visual novel, which is at 1.3, it's final version(woo hoo!): Monster Uses CPU 2

Play games. They help me forget about everything. AS IN EVERYTHING and I end up crying in the corner because I completely forgot to do something very important <_<

Overwhelmed? Hmm... doesn't really happen anymore. I make sure to find time to relax, even if it's just a 5 minute break in the middle of work. Relaxing means doing something fun that can hold my attention. Distractions are good.

The #renpy IRC channel is a great place to chat with other devs. Due to the nature of IRC and timezone differences, people probably won't reply right away.

Out into our garden, it's massive and nice, and we live in the woods too, and surrounded by fields, ohman, it's literally the most perfect place to relax ever. I ruin it with music :I

When I become overwhelmed (mostly with work), I just leave them all in the side and do something that releases my stress. Say, watch a movie, play a game, play really loud music, cry over a book, anything that distracts me.
