Complete newbie here who just decided to throw his hat into the ring on March 18, then didn't actually get around to doing anything until March 25. Nevertheless, I've put something basic together, and I'll keep trying to refine a little bit more during the week.

Alone in the Dark
You regain consciousness disoriented in pitch blackness, with a splitting headache. What's going on? How did you get here? In this perilous subterranean world, what will you learn about yourself - if you live long enough?

And...I just evolved this. Mightily. It's less a stumble around in the dark, and will now have an actual story line that evolves. It's turning more into a visual novel and less a survival sim.

Now for the real trick -- finish getting the backstory written and integrated into the game in three days.

This is definitely going to come together. I've got a few volunteers proofreading/playtesting now. If they come back to me with some good feedback that I can implement in time, I'll revise it a bit. But I could submit what I have now and not be too embarrassed.

I had to change the name to Lost Before Darkness to avoid confusion with an existing game franchise. At any rate, this is now a completed project, not a WIP, so it has it's very own "Completed Project" post now.
