Since this is the spot for community-building, I figured this is the right place to put this-- I had an awesome time at the visual novel dev meetup at GDC, and was thinking about how some of the collectives we have in NYC like Playcrafting and our IGDA chapter are great resources but kinda "big tent"--it would be awesome to do like, a recurring meetup of NYC/metro area Ren'Py devs to get inspired, troubleshoot, and be each others' cheerleaders!
Could maybe start here and the Discord to see if there's interest then start an actual Meetup.com page?

I'm on Long Island, so I'd be interested in something like this - though I doubt I could make it into NYC every month.

I can't always make every monthly meetup I want to go to either But it would definitely be cool to see if enough people would be down to go.
I've gotten some interesting feedback from people who played my prototype and said "Woah! I never played anything like that!" and part of me felt incredulous because there's the other side of the looking glass which would be people like us who know this genre and its offshoots really well!
