Wow, it's been a while since I last posted. Time for an update on Dryad which all of you remember, right?

I've been surprisingly busy with my university stuff, so I haven't had time to get much work done on the script yet and any programming I've done has only been learning Ren'Py basics. I've realised that my original plans were too big for a first game, so I've been mainly figuring out what I can leave out without the story suffering too much. This most likely involves dropping one of the girls (the normal human camper) entirely and focusing on the dryad and the fox paths.

Currently planned to have five endings, two from each path and one special. H scenes in some of the endings, but not all.

School (and the new fall season of anime - new Nanoha episodes, yay!) have been keeping me busy, so I haven't made any real progress. However, my friend who promised to do the art has posted a picture of the foxgirl on his DeviantArt account: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/24934698/

I really love the art style and her messy hair :D. Good luck finding time to finish this ^.^

Somehow, foxgirls are all the rage now. Did I start a fad, or what? ^^

Maybe you did,... foxes really are so popular... There's even a new Volkswagen called "Fox".

Too bad my favorite animal is.. a cow. So what? You got a problem with that?? I think they are nice animals, and no I don't live in the country.

lol There's nothing wrong with liking a cow. My friend actually loves cows. She even has a special name for them: Moo-Cows. :D

But anyways - foxs are sooo much better than cat-girls. Like, seriously, cat-girls are sooo last season! ;D

Cows? Foxes? Bah. Cat-girls all the way.

Cat-Girl Maids.
Robot Catgirl Maids.
Robot Catgirl Schoolgirl Maids.
Robot Catgirl Schoolgirl Maids ... wearing Glasses!

(For bonus points, identify anime characters with a combination of three or more of the above qualifiers. Two or one is just way too easy. For double bonus points, come up with a coherent explanation of why a robot-girl would need glasses.)

Glad to hear you like the character design. I'll better show this thread to JKensuke too (and ask if he has a dryad design done).

It just occurred to me that I've never mentioned the full title of the game here. It's Dryad: Whisper of the Forest.

I'll try to get the game out as soon as possible. I have all the paths planned out (though I wouldn't be surprised if I found myself doing some last minute changes to them), so it should be done some time this century

FWIW, it's also pretty easy to think of a Robot Schoolgirl Maid. I can't get Robot Catgirl Maid, and I'd need to check through UFO Princess Valkyrie to see if any schoolgirls get hit by the catgirl-maid ray.

Sounds like a good title for a new Visual Novel. Volunteers, anyone? ^_^

Well, that robot girl is greatly in love with you. But since she has superhuman abilities, she can't live a normal life with you by her side.

So she chooses to eat magnets for breakfast to temporarily confuse her circuits and make her make mistakes like humans.

She also overheats her processors to make her body feel warm, this way however her life will shorten to around 80 years.

And, she chooses to wear glasses, not to improve, but deteriorate her vision to the level that humans have it.

Once again, the answer can only be found in LOVE! :P

Taavimon: the picture looks great! :)

Alessio: I agree with ya, that DOES sound like a great idea for a new VN.

*Thinks about staying out of the cat-girl/fox-girl/cow discussion...* Maybe a catgirl with wings....*envisions it* or maybe a foxgirl with wings *envisons that, too*
