Re: Culina: The Spirit of Cooking [BxG][Modern Day Sim/Strat

I'll just sit here and silently pray that Dante is a dateable character. O____O <3333333 Well, this is just BxG at the moment, but if part 2 sells well, we mii~ght pull something like P3P and make a version when you're a girl and chasing after the guys. I'm hoping it happens since Dante is totally ...

Re: True endings?

I like True Endings a lot because as mentioned, it's an added incentive to get all of the endings. 999 frustrated me like hell because I couldn't get the True End and then found out that it kept ending short because I was missing a different ending (I did not realize it was a True End either) and I ...

Re: Visual Novel Writing Contest (planning thread)

I vote for 1 because as I said before, I generally play these things on mute anyway.

But I think that if you use 3 then everyone needs to use music because the inconsistency will probably effect people at least subconsciously if some use sound and some don't.

Haha, yes, it's Miyuki. It's my middle name >.>

I'm pretty excited to get to work on this, even if I am the proofreader/editor and not the writer. I'm happy that there's interest. :]

Re: Do you expect VN to be in a certain art style?

But, I remember that Winter Wolves's Vera Blanc games didn't sell very well and at least part of that is blamed on the art. It's in more Western graphic novel/comic type style so maybe people just don't like mixing genres too much? Is that pure speculation or..? I can't remember where, but on one o...

Web Hosting Questions

So, this is an idea I've been playing with for years and that's having my own domain and website. I think it would be useful to have for a multitude of reasons. I can have a page with my resume on it, I can host future games, I can practice all sorts of webpage coding that you just can't do with a f...

Re: Hosting space

I'm also pretty sure that webs.com (formerly freewebs) will let you upload rar and zips. They don't give too much file space though, I've got maybe 30mb's in my free account, but it's something to consider. [edit] I checked and I have 82mb's of space actually, but 500mb of bandwidth. So bandwidth wo...

Re: Do you expect VN to be in a certain art style?

To be more clear, there may be Japanese influence on the work, but in my opinion Les is much more influenced by European comics. Really though, it is VERY Western when put up against the obviously Anime Influenced VNs that rule the roost in the genre right now. While I think most of the art is West...

Re: A Canon Check System? Can It Be?

I can't really say anything about connecting the sequel to the first game, but with my experience with otome games (Even though otome is like, a bad word or something on this forum) the "canon" ending is usually the one that's the most detailed. Like if it's a mystery then it'd be where th...

Re: Visual Novel Writing Contest (planning thread)

I'd like to participate in this contest. And I think a month sounds reasonable. I'm mainly a writer so I haven't really learned how to use Ren'py to its full potential which makes me wary of things like NaNoReNo, but if the focus is just on the writing I can try to make a finished product and then m...

Re: Need some help with plot plausability

I'd like to agree with papillon's second post. I'm not really sure about statistics or anything, but my Japanese grandmother and her friends firmly believe that adopted family members are like, lesser than other family members, even if they're blood related. As far as she's concerned genuine affecti...

Re: Game that worth it to be commercial? I need advice.

Well, to me it's interface, plot, art, and quality of writing. The length isn't quite as important, but I think that it it's a pretty short game it should probably have a lower price. The Heileen games are about 50k words each and I'd say the first one is a good minimum length for a commercial game ...

I could be willing to do this too. I'm trying to get more practice with that exact thing. I do two different styles? I guess would be the word for it.

Example 1: Scan of Sketch Version 1 Version 2

Example 2: Cell Phone Picture of Sketch Version 1 Version 2

Re: Long Live The Queen (sim, commercial)

Don't worry, it's not a problem. :) There isn't a currently active discount scheme for this game, nothing organised like with Magical Diary and Date Warp. I will at some point be doing a forum contest for a free giveaway but I haven't made firm plans for that yet. If you're looking for a discount, ...

Re: Long Live The Queen (sim, commercial)

Out of curiosity (and sorry if I offend) but is there a discount code active for this game right now? I don't mind paying the full price, but when I bought Magical Diary I paid full price and then found the discount code on the hanakogames forum like, a day later and felt like an idiot paying full p...
