Re: Turning a basic plot into a VN.
I write an outline first. I'm not the best at long things, so I find having an idea of where to go and what to build up to helps me a lot. But I find that writing really detailed outlines end up hurting me in the long run-- I just need to jot down some very rough, basic ideas, otherwise it feels lik...

Re: Dub or Sub?
I like to hear the original acting but I also like to hear the dubs too. Sometimes they're even better than the sub-- Baccano's dub is a very good example of this. Baccano's dub was FANTASTIC.
So I have no real preference I guess? Just whichever one is better.

Re: Teacher Student relationships
I think it's silly to try and police other people's fantasies, because at the end of the day they hurt no one. Fiction is a reflection on fantasy and so it too hurts no one, even if said fantasy can be skeevy to certain people. IRL? I would be worried about how consensual the relationship is. It's r...

Re: GxG Teacher/Student-- help needed!
Awesome advice, thank you! I'm still unsure of what to do with this but I'm definitely thinking about a lot of this. Extra classes and tutoring hadn't actually occurred to me for some reason! Right now I'm most heavily leaning on going that way. Thanks everyone!

Re: Which do you like better Kinec or Nonlinear visual novel
A lot of the time I tend to prefer KN-- Higurashi and Umineko are good examples of KNs. I don't read VNs to insert me myself into a story, I read to enjoy what I consider a perfect format for storytelling as well as the story itself. For that reason I'm not that fond of neutral main characters. Choi...

GxG Teacher/Student-- help needed!
Not sure if this is the right part of the forum, but I think it should work... here I go. So for the game I'm currently writing a outline for, it's your standard highschool dating sim. However! There's a teacher in it. Teacher is planned to be available to date. But I'm having some trouble thinking ...

Re: Currently Airing Anime
Currently I'm just following Penguindrum. It's a quirky kinda odd show, but I love it so far!
Re: Guestbook
Hi! I'm new here to the forums but not new to Renpy or visual novels. I've been playing around with the VN maker since around 09? I'm not sure anymore, and have made a bunch of gag stuff to learn the programming. Currently working on a serious project right now with a team of friends, I hope to have...
