Always avoid cheapest versions like the plague. Also, FL Studio is good for a beginner but it gets too basic and limited quickly.

For notation I recommend Sibelius 5. To process your works, look at something like Cubase.

Nice work. The build-up to when the main guitar comes in at 00:34 is smooth. The small development of the tune and patterns in that section is good. Only thing is the piano that starts afterwards 1:07 might be a bit too quiet. Bleh, I'm getting distracted again. I'd better get back to what I should ...
