Halloween/ Insane Female Character [CC by NC]

I gave her kinda over the top expressions so I'm not sure how useful she'd be outside of an insane character. She has kinda stylized pencil lineart but she's also fairly big, shrunken down she'd probably fit with most styles. If anyone is interested in the layered SAI file send me an email: cosmicki...

Re: Free Backgrounds (CC BY-NC 3.0)

Hi! I love your style, it's perfect for a VN I'm going to start on soon. I'd be forever in your debt if you could whip up a BG of just a computer screen. It's pretty much the only thing I need to get started on it. I may have one lying around that i made for a project that wasn't used... i'm not su...

Re: Advices and critiques needed

it's better to see a full body so you can get a full critique but.... the arm is super thin, she should have muscles. Her face seems a tad too concave and her hair is pretty flat. Pretty eyes though :) I have a lot of anatomy tutorials faved on my DA favorites that would be helpful if you'd like to ...

Re: Background Tutorial: Easy

I do something fairly similar, although I don't render I just export lineart and color myself. But I like to throw a colored overlay over the top red/blue/yellow usually in different areas. Depending on the background, I also sometimes throw a luminosity layer over light sources with a super pale co...

Re: Team for a BXG (Mystery,Psychological) VN

This really bothers me The story, I will be the one ummm... writing it. I can't call myself a writer T_T Either you have faith in your abilities or you don't. If you don't then maybe you should practice your craft before bringing in other people to work on your game. If you do, don't sell yourself s...

Re: Paint Tool SAI Problems.

mine doesn't have the exact same problem, but from time to time it doesn't like exporting to .png and every once in awhile doesn't save as .sai. usually if i keep opening and closing it it eventually decides to cooperate.

Re: Regarding Game Design Documents and collaboration

I think GDD's are essential, especially when working with a team. This one is much more in depth than most projects here need, but is a really good example and you can omit parts you don't want.

Re: Kickstarter Reward Ideas

they're actually not all that hard to make if you have any sewing skills. I've debated it for some of our projects. there are several tutorials on DA, besides that you'd be better off finding an independent person to make them on a smaller scale I'd think :) not gonna lie, I think i'd buy a stuffed ...

Re: Kickstarter Reward Ideas

I was under the impression the main purpose of kickstarter now was to presale a game? Besides that, you can always offer plushies of some of your characters if you happen to know a seamstress.

Re: CGing for non-tablet users.

it's on your except list, but before I had a tablet I used SAI. It has a pressure tool for lineart so it can mimic lines from a pressure sensitive tablet. Besides that there's no magical tool that will make your art better if you use it. If you're looking for free use gimp. Sketchup for backgrounds,...
