Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1

What an excellent game. The characters seemed so well thought out and the artwork was so beautiful. I do have a few language and cultural quibbles . I used to live in Japan and my wife is Japanese, and there are some minor suggestions that could be done to improve this game. I stress the word " mino...

Re: Need help with a simple renpy problem

JQuartz,

Thank you so much for the simple solution. It's working now (although other fixable problems have cropped up). Hard to believe a simple lack of a "=" set back this project by a month.

Need help with a simple renpy problem

Everyone, Now that summer vacation is nearing, I'd like to go back to work on "The Hawaii Exorcist," my renpy game that I've put on hiatus. The main reason I stopped was the frustration I had with trying to debug my script, which kept crashing to to an error that I cannot seem to solve. I had other ...

Re: How do I find the specific line on my script?

Monele, Thanks for the advice. I downloaded smultron and it seems to work much better than my mac Textedit program. Everyone, thanks for your help! :D I"m glad I stopped lurking and posted my question. Now I can get to the business of creating a visual novel instead of hours proofreading script. Jus...

Re: Semester 1.1.1

Daggio, I keep getting the same crash that others above have written about. As for the game itself, it is interesting, and the I like the way the characters change expression. My major suggestion for this game is for you to add some Indonesian flavor. Right now, too many visual novels seem like they...

Monele

I use texteditor (on a macintosh) to type my code. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: How do I find the specific line on my script?

Raikiri Thanks a lot! Now I can get down to the business of working on a game. I owe you one! Tell me if you need anything translated into/from Japanese (wife and I are fluent in the language) or if you want info about Hawaii. Thanks for the comments about the script. I'm starting small as I saw too...

Re: How do I find the specific line on my script?

Thanks everyone. Here's my script. I have no idea how to find a specific line. I tinkered some more and found a solitary quotation mark and got rid of the line 295 problem, but something is still wrong. Any help would be appreciated. :D How does one find the line? I copied and pasted this into MS wo...

How do I find the specific line on my script?

Hello fellow VN creators: I'm working on a problem that has held up my game development for weeks. I keep getting an error message that says that line 295 "is not terminated with a newline (check quotes and parenthesis)." So my question is: how do I find line 295? I've been poring over my script for...
