Re: To The Moon [Commercial Adventure Game] - Released!

it was amazing, i even cried. I know i'm a little bit extremely emotional sometimes, but i think the "happy end" well was a little out of place, but it's really a game you should play as long as you're alive :D Happy end? I mean, it's all just in his head. In reality she is already dead w...

Re: Fate/Stay Night the...coffee shop!?

Aw come on, I wouldn't call the story that complex either. It has a rich universe that I liked as well, but there's not much complexity about it. Even Tsukihime was more complex storywise in my opinion. Not that this is necessarily something to complain about, but there definitely are some poor deci...

Re: To The Moon [Commercial Adventure Game] - Released!

Bought it the moment I heard about it and played until a little bit after Act 1 until now. A review already said Act 1 is pretty weak and mostly for introduction of the characters, so I guess I still have the sad parts before me. However, the humor so far is pretty great. Re: fenØL art [Øp!]

I agree about the backgrounds - the lack of detail is not that obvious in the first pictures, but the last three definitely would need more of that. It seems kind of cold that way. The characters are great. Females have the "anime-sweetness", males have much character (the doctor looks a l...

Re: To the Moon

Well, I gave this thing a shot. The soundtrack alone has so much quality that I can understand they'd like to get some money for it and I love the approach to keep the focus on story and atmosphere. I'll see whether this money was wasted or not ;).

Same for me (except not diagnosed). It's really putting unnecessary obstacles into almost everything you do. I hate it.

Be aware though: Even asking for donations can already be enough to give you problems with that. As long as you do everything without any possibility of getting money for it you should be fine though, as already mentioned.

Re: Credits?

It depends. It is their work and they have the rights for it. There are cases where you know right away that you can use the stuff, for example in the audio portal of newgrounds. Often those things are simply named as "CC licensed" - mostly withe the restriction "credit me and don't a...

Re: Music composer here, willing to share his stuff

As a word of note, FL Studio is a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that includes some built-in plugins which offer instruments in the synth, electronic, and acoustic genres. But they aren't really the best around, so composers like us usually go and grab external sound libraries known as VST's (or v...
