Re: English version of "Der Totengräber"
I wouldn't mind helping out. You just need an editor, a translator, or both? I can handle the editing, as well as placing the English script back into the .rpy, but I don't know a lick of German.

Re: Project Gene [Looking for Background Artst]
Yeah, I really hate pixel-hunting in adventure games. I prefer the set-up of using buttons to perform actions as opposed to manually finding the right item in some corner of a large area. I'm very happy with how the game has progressed, and ironically, glad that it's taken me so long to find an arti...

Re: Project Gene [Looking for Background Artst]
Looks like I'm a little late with this. Yeah, I'm actually working on the game still. Rewrote most of it. It's not really a visual-novel so much anymore. I'll still post it here once it's finished, but I've moved it over to another site. This is what the art looks like now. http://img412.ima...

Re: Artist needs Programmer for zombie game
Looks like a strategy game. You build up an arsenal, then attack zombies.

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
It's been quite some time since the last update, but the project is still very alive :) This is where PG stands right now; -The game is completely playable, just without background art -I'm just putting on the finishing touches as far as sound and transitional work goes -Menu customization will be r...

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
Most of my reading and research is done via wikipediabloodywyvern wrote:Well most people who *write* stories, have read them as well...or they would be really bad writers.
Small update to the opening post. Basic change was the addition of a .png version of the second piece of character art.

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
It's actually pretty hard to find any staff members at all, there's a lot of people but also a lot of projects. Plus must would prefer to work on their own, the whole 'why should I use their idea' thing. That also lowers the amount of people willing to work in a team. Personally if the WIP section ...

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
I've a question purely out of curiosity, since the NYPD is such an unusual setting for a VN have you put much thought into the games overall style? The NYPD is a pretty popular setting for a lot of movies and TV shows. I feel like it popped into my head because of them. While those settings are ten...

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
Thanks for all the compliments. The character artist is a first timer to the VA genre like myself. I went ahead and directed him/her to this topic. Same with the composer.

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
Thank you for listening/playing the samples. It's really exciting to see others actually having an interest in this project. Progression so far! Once we get someone to do the background art, then production can move along more nicely. The whole game is already playable, but it lacks visuals or sound.

Re: Project Gene [Need BG Artist!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
[hint]In some countries people can't use Megaupload unless they use proxies* or install Megaupload Toolbar**.[/hint] [hint]Okay.[/hint] Scooter fox is right, and mega upload is a very inconvenient place...with restrictions and all. So, I took the liberty of mirroring the downloads (I hope you don't...

Re: I'm So confused @.@
While I probably lack the coding skill of some of the others, I could take a gander if you'd like. Could you try posting the errors you get when you try to load the script? Also, might want to try reading through this and seeing if you find any solutions to your problems. http://www.renpy.org/wiki/r...

Re: Project Gene [Looking for Artists/Writers!) (UPDATED AGAIN!)
Further update made. Added in the first chapter of the game so people can play it, and some more art (down by EccentricKarma).

Re: Project Gene [Looking for Artists/Writers!) (UPDATED!)
Sorry for not updating faster. Hi. I am an ameteur artist (in the sense that I am not payed for my work) and have been considering working with visual novels recently, especially characters. Unfortunately, I don't have much of my work on my website yet, but here is the URL anyway: http://www.pearlpa...
