Re: Background and VN Concept Art
You need to be careful with your perspective - the hop-scotch court in the bottom picture is not in proper perspective, nor are the numbers or lines on it.

Re: Languages!
I don't know since I had the British person as my english teacher when I was in kindergarten, I think she had some influences on my english. Reminds me of a friend who learned Japanese from a Japanese woman. He became quite fluent in it, and moved to Japan, where he lived for about three months, no...

Re: Commercial VN makers: How much do you spend on making ga
Yeah, my point was that it's not really in a successful VN developer's interest to answer the question. Some will, though, just because they're nice like that :) I'd consider answering it if I considered myself a "successful" VN maker at this point, but it's nothing you can really expect ...

Re: What is your favorite way for a VN to end?
@LWR: I can say for certain that I was not quite clear on what you meant before. Just in case you're still misunderstanding me, let me clarify my own opinion. I'm arguing against endings which raise more questions than they answer about the plot. VNs are iffy, because a credit roll and main menu sc...

Re: What is your favorite way for a VN to end?
I'm fond of endings that cause you to redefine the entire experience and cast everything in a new light. I guess this is a kind of a twist ending, but the best ones are telegraphed in such a way as to make the viewer go, "That makes perfect sense! Why didn't I see the signs before?" when ...

Re: asking for advices/survey
I love Alice's Adventures in Wonderland ! It is my favorite book. ::Points over at avatar and name:: I even carried it into combat with me in the Marines. There's nothing like reading about a mad tea party while in-effectual mortar shells whistle overhead. 1. Is boy's love ok? Sure, if it is well do...

Re: Commercial VN makers: How much do you spend on making ga
@Blue Lemma: Hmmmm... I can't seem to relate the comic strip with the topic... Perhaps it's just me. The comic is basically saying: "Why should I help you?" If developers help create their own competition, they'll eat away at their own profits. I think in the VN industry, we need to get o...

Re: Japanese words
I don't think I've heard "Fraeulein" used before, but maybe it's more popular in America. I agree that English translations don't need Japanese suffixes, but things like "mademoiselle" strike me as being sorta the same thing as "senpai" and the like. I don't think I've...

Re: School set VNs too redundant?
Well, there's REAL boot camp and there's the kind of boot camp teenagers get sent to because their parents hate them. Which is still trying to monopolise all your time but might be slightly less good at it than the ones dealing with actual recruits? On the other hand, some of those places are outri...

Re: School set VNs too redundant?
You've given several great reasons why a romantic VN set in boot camp would be interesting (not a likely setting, the challenge of potential partners finding opportunities to see each other...). :D I know, just the possibilities are exciting! Haha. You two are scary. I don't mean to be crass, but p...

Re: Japanese words
-Mademousselle (sp?) if you want more flair, Fraeulein in the same vein. Those two are French and German, I believe. Loan words. I've yet to encounter an American that didn't know the meaning of those two words. If foreign words are used long enough in a native tongue it becomes an actual word in t...

Re: School set VNs too redundant?
Make a trade school where students learn a craft (welders, machinists, automobile/truck mechanics, airplane pilots). Or military boot camp. Military boot camp doesn't sound too likely a setting, even for homosexual relationships. First, the genders are segregated, meaning if you see someone of the ...

Wow, that sounds very lucrative. I just want to make sure that I am not taking advantage of her. I mean I can afford to pay her more, I make a ridiculous amount of money for my IT job (sometimes it feels like I am taking advantage of my employers when I get my paycheck :/ ) I am just not used to th...

Re: Regarding "The Controversy"
Ironically, I think South Park said this best in one of their episodes. Everyone visits the Museum of Tolerance, and it is pointed out that it isn't the Museum of Acceptance . We don't have to accept other people's points of view, we only have to tolerate them. That is the mistake I think a lot of p...
