Re: Witch Spell (with Cross-Platform Version)

I played it now that you made the cross platform :) Yay! The first thing that I thought when I was playing was "it's a very nice layout" with the textbox, menu, and so on. The character artwork was fine and I thought Akari's expressions were funny! The backgrounds looked a bit weird to me ...

Re: Learning to draw/color... opinions needed please

Thanks for the input :) I've been planning on going back and recoloring that character, it was the first one I did and I think her skin looks way too white and I think I want to redo the skirt and fix the folds in the jacket. I really like the color scheme you added to her though, it looks much mor...

Re: On Asking Questions

After you start the game your character's dialogue and the text appear on a basic see-through black screen at the bottom of the window. Is it possible to change that box to match the theme you chose for your game? For example: my theme is Autsen with Urban Sprawl. Could someone please tell me how t...

Re: Fanservice for women?

Fanservice for anyone basically is meaning that you get any character into a situation where they are either "showing some skin"/underwear etc or they end up getting in costumes (maid, cat, crossdress, bdsm ... ), at least that's what I thought it means. So it's no difference between gende...

I wouldn't be interested to use it myself but I think that's a neat thing you're doing!

Re: eliminating the protagonist in CG's

My opinion is very simple here: Protagonist with a face and body: in games where the protagonist has a strong life of its own (he/she has subjective thoughts that the player gets to read or they have significant reactions and behaviour of their own within the game and towards other characters). Prot...

Re: is it necessary to give players a number of options.

everything's been plotted out, but i noticed recently that I made a lot of "secondary" questions that more or less affect the Arcs and the plot itself... I hope I don't overdo it... also, A lot of if-else statements. I admit that I've been writing instinctively... based on a predetermined...

Re: Learning to draw/color... opinions needed please

The thing I think hits me most with your pictures is that (to me) the stray lines of shading in the fold of the clothes doesn't look so good, it maybe to your advantage to makes "less detailed" shading without these lines and focus on more "block shading" at the moment because th...

Re: is it necessary to give players a number of options.

If this question is beacuse you have a problem to know when to give options, basically that is usually whenever it's relevant to the plot, when your choice actually matters I would say. But some games may also include more choices just to give a more personal feeling to the player that they can real...

You can define a background that's just a hex colour I think. Like

Code: Select all

image bgblack = "#000000"

Re: So... are you geared up for NaNoWriMo?

I took part in NaNoWriMo before twice but I don't want to do it again for a long time I think. :p
For me it mostly just becomes a stressful thing and not a creative help...

But good luck with your novel!
