Re: for expierenced NV developers/creators, what would you say to a first time VN creator?
The advice I'd give in response to your thread title will probably help you suss out the answer to the question in your thread body. Make a VN and all the assets yourself before starting your "real" project. And by that, I mean do a thirty second story where you create all the parts. Writi...

AnimeFest (GameFest) 2019 - Dallas TX
Woo, last minute thread, but I figured I'd post here for anyone interested. https://gamefest.org/ AnimeFest has long been a hub for indie VN developers, but this year is a liiiiittle bit different. They've split off into two cons that will be running at the same time - AnimeFest, and GameFest. The c...

Re: I need about a hundred wishes that might be asked from a Genie.
I would wish for mundanely magical, but useful things like a camel that won't ever get sick, or a neat dress that's always fashionable. Perhaps a well that never runs dry. A sword that sharpens itself? (That sounds like a bad wish about to ruin someone's day.)

Re: Hey there ^^
Ooh, some cool thoughts (also, welcome to the forum!) I don't know of an in depth study of it, but I think you'll find most visual novels are blocked more like a stage play than a movie. All the players in the scene are visible on the stage at the same time, and they enter and exit the stage as the ...

Re: Some VN games has no music?
I wrote one a while back: [text] - A Summer Story is designed not to have music, but there are sound effects.
Typically, I think music can help add depth to a story, but it's just another tool that you can choose to use or not use.

Re: Is Lemmesoft Dying
Hello! I'm still around and I show up daily to do moderator duties, but it's rare for me to post as much because I sink most of my time into dev these days. I see a lot of chatter on twitter and Discord, mostly. And I spend a lot of time looking at everyone's portfolios in the for hire section. So i...

Re: Is my posts deleted?
Hello, I'm the mod who removed them - I apologize for not sending you a message along with it. That's my fault. The forum rules state that this place is for games that are largely based on plot and the advancement of a story. I played through the games you posted, and they don't fall within those de...

Re: Clean VN Recomendations
Self-promotion time, ahoy. Here's some stuff I wrote. You might like it? Ripples - Super short slice of life. Bonus: same artist as Autumn's Journey. Jisei - Murder mystery game, although it's pretty light on the blood as well. No romance scenes. First in a series. If you like this one, you might li...

Re: Voice Actor Recruitment Question
There's a pretty low chance of that happening, but if you're worried about making the information public, you can always do a closed casting call. Basically, inform people you are casting, and request actors email a demo reel or audio samples, then listen to all of them, pick your favorite voices, a...
