Re: Butterfly

I though I will summarize Episode 1 progress so far: Character sprites: 5/8 (there are 16 persons/machines in the first episode but half of them will not be visible - voice only - or will be visible in the background) Backgrounds: 46/125 (total number may slightly increase) Special effects and anima...

Re: Butterfly

A few images are like this one but they are from the intro and the text will be displayed without background. I would like to put it in the upper part of the screen, though. Is there a simple command for this? I know "centered", which prints the text in the centre of the screen. But can I ...

Butterfly

I've just started my adventure with Ren'Py so it is my first Visual Novel. It was originally designed to be a "point-and-click" adventure game but because of some hardware problems, the project was postponed and has been aging on my hard drive for months - until now. Butterfly is a cyberpu...

Re: Commercial Worthy Visual Novel

If I were to spend my money on a game, first I have to read many reviews and the developer must be well known for some other titles. However, there are loads of quality freeware games out there and even famous, commercial games are easy to get for low price, especially via the Internet (legally, I m...

Re: You do you visualise your VN script?

I usually see my script as a movie in my head - the way I wish it to be done. Unfortunately, final product is usually below this level :D Anyway, I also do some sketches, maps and simple story boards. And I often visualize my game best when I listen to some appropriate music

Re: The elusive VN fight scene

I'm also working on a VN with some (quite brutal I must admit  ) fights. They will be pretty dangerous and may quickly end player's life (save games are strongly recommended :D ) but if the player reads descriptions carefully and can think, he/she should survive

Re: Starlight - Now Avalible!

It's my first post on this forum so welcome everyone :D 'Starlight' is also the first Visual Novel I have played and I must say I had a really good time. Girls are sweet (well, maybe not Violet, she reminds me of some of my students ), I love the intro. The game makes me work harder on my own...
