Re: Character Model Stand Ins

Not a weird idea at all. It's quite common to use placeholder art until you have something that you're more pleased with. Personally, I use stick figures or just big rectangles in pretty colors. I encourage this tactic as I see a lot of people get so tied in with the art that they abandon their proj...

Re: ✰Dahlia Wilder's Art Assets✰ Sprite and CG Artist for hire!

Dahlia is an absolute pleasure to work with. She has a wonderful attitude and friendly demeanor that makes her a joy to be around. Also, she is easily accessible and never delays in response. As you can see in her own samples, her skill and talent would be a great asset to any project. She clearly h...

Re: How to use Random on Variables

Hello, new friend! You'd use the 'random' code for that. The exact code to use would be: renpy.random.randint(1, 10) It may do you well to check out the 'Other Functions' documentation ( https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/other.html ), there are all sorts of fun codes on that page. Random is located at ...

What's C#? Programming language. The difficulty curve of learning it is up for debate (I find it rather complicated, but more people say it's easy), but it is no match for Python. IMO, Python has to be the easiest language to learn. Are you a programmer? Do you know any of the languages? If not, I'...

Are you still looking for questions? Because if so, then you got my help! I actually had done some fortune telling for extra scratch in high school and my early 20's. Open-ended questions are always advised. Some of my personal favorites are (though they could be just variations of the ones you post...

Re: Matters of the Heart [GXB][Fantasy][Magic][Dueling][Puzz

I do have a question the text boxes, actually. Above you listed two, one with a solid purple background and the other with a gradient orange-purple. I also see in another you feature another gradient purple-dark purple (and another one with just the head of the main character, but I just assumed tha...

This seems very interesting!

I'm particularly fascinated with the mechanics. I can't wait to hear/see more about them. I love Hashi, but I imagine that something even just slightly similar would be a nightmare to program. Congrats on what you've done so far.

Looking forward to the demo. :D

Abuelitaland did the final three sprites above for me. I want to say that this artist is a pleasure to work with.

Very kind and absolutely fun to talk to. I would recommend taking up a slot or two! :D

Re: Main Character Race And My Race Issues!

So far everyone made the best points and had done so eloquently that I have nothing to expand on. I just wanted to add a reminder: sometimes opinions are formed even before the game is played. Other times people just need something to be gripe about. They may choose and say the very things you're wo...

Re: Menu Question

Just out of curiosity, why are you using strings to declare your true/false states instead of just typing it as a boolean? Well, that's mainly because I wrote it at 1am! That is actually a serious answer. I got off of work and was tired. I originally wrote it with some random nonsense instead of th...

Well I didn't see this pre-edit, but either way I'm glad it works now!

Good luck with your project, can't wait to see it.

1 - Welcome to the forum! 2 - I adore your avatar, even though I'm a total Zoe. 3 - Here is the code in which I would personally use, but I'm sure someone out there has something more elegant for you: Don't forget to set up your variables! $ choice_A = 'false' $ choice_B = 'false' $ choice_C = 'fals...
