Re: Get Dumped ☆

Well well well I expected this to be more painful than it was! Or maybe I'm starting to get immune to second-hand embarrasment? Anyway, this was fun! And can I just say that I was very pleasantly surprised that in the true ending they were still not dating, and that it was portrayed as a good thing?...

Re: installed vs play online.

On one hand: My connection is sketchy at the best of times and for me the best time to play VNs is actually when there is a power out. Then I play using the batteries on my laptop. Plus there is a download limit in action here so downloading the same things again and again just to play a game is act...

Re: Porcelain Heart [gxb][Otome] [NaNo13]

Will the sprites be shaded in because they look flat. The lines are also kinda wobbly and uneven. We agreed that I should priortise getting sprites done over shading, in case, y'know, life happens and I end up busy. Though I do hope that I get to shade them since I like shading! As for the uneven l...

Tell the sprite artist that they look pretty good.
Looking forward to any updates and whatnot!
Thank you!

*cough* Male Unitard Swimsuits, rash guards and several others.
They exist. They're hard to find but they exist. So the boys need not neccesarily be half naked when swimming.

And yeah... I find the bodies kinda weird too.

Re: Half naked boys in swimming pool, from the maker of K-ON

It is just a commercial. They were working on this in 2012, if my sources are right (said sources probably being too deep in my dash to be worth looking for by now) but it was cancelled and what they had made used to make this advert. It wasn't the first time either. But apprarantly 2chan has a lot ...

Khanacademy had this hidden? And here I was thinking they only had javascript courses!
Khanacademy is excelent btw. They helped me to understand maths in a way that years of schooling didn't.

Re: Coursera - Free Online Python Class

I just remembered this: https://www.coursera.org/course/programming1 It's an archive, so you can't exactly ask people for help or get a certificate for it anymore, but you can view all the lectures and take all the assignments. From what I've seen so far, it seems to be really about telling us how t...

Re: How obvious should choices be?

My first instinct was to have some be obvious, some not but... if it's purely about nastiness vs. niceness rather than trying to figure out what the right thing to is, then I think it should be obvious which option is which. If you are being nasty to someone then you know it, and it's unfair to call...

I like the epilouge myself.
Seeing who I thought was an idiot turn out to be smart enough to pull something like this made it more fun.

Re: Coursera - Free Online Python Class

I did this course too but I found it was a bit... teaching to the test I guess? They create this framework called Codeskulptor which is really good for teaching the basics but as someone who has already dabbled in Pygame as well I found that the more advanced stuff was really only applicable if you ...

Re: What kind of Fiction should You write? 5.0! [Quiz game ]

I found it interesting that you said Storynexus was an influence because, well, I love Fallen London and some of the other games on there and had wondered if Ren'Py could do something similar to that. So, thank you for answering this with your game. I hadn't noticed the similarity to Quizilla in Fal...

Re: RE: Prince of Nigeria ["GxB"|Romance|Internet Scam](NaNo

Well, despite my fears I didn't have a hard time playing it at all. Somehow Horai's actions didn't activate the part that makes me squirm with secondhand embarrasment, and I was left to enjoy the humour. I think it's just that her 'strange acts' were so weird my secondhand embarrasment gave up in di...

Well this is interesting! I am a big fan of Korean culture (and their food), so this really piqued my interest! Well, the plot alone is interesting but that certainly adds!
And since it's historical, I might learn something interesting too.

Re: Heartstring Bugs [dating sim, otome] (Guide's up)

Just finished one path and... I am really surprised that I enjoyed a stat based game like this. The path I started with was Dimitri's, but I went onto Alice's because (edit: and everyone else's it seems) when he came over to apologise and try and re-start the relationship I had a good think and I th...
