Re: Writing Tip: Writing HORROR
I remembered reading this delightful Cracked article, and it might be helpful to someone using a psychopathic personality type: "First, in movies the terms "psychotic" and "sociopath" are traded more often than genital infections at Flava Flav's house. But psychotic behavior...

Re: Asking For a Player Name
Thank you for replying! I'm getting a lot of great ideas now as to how to add in an 'asking for a name' bit. I feel like writing something now! @Gambit74 I really like your idea with the descriptions before the names. I've seen a few people do this, but I felt like the names matched their descriptio...

Re: Asking For a Player Name
Thank you. It's not until I started trying to make a VN that I realized there are a ton of ways to do things like this. It's pretty overwhelming.
(And that Prof. Oak reference is really great xD)

Asking For a Player Name
In a VN, if the player can choose the name of the main character, what do you think is the best way to ask?
Should you just come right out with it in the beginning, or weave it into the writing?

Re: Questions About Writing Children...
Children are not typically existentially angsty. They are usually more worried about more physical/emotional threats ("If I fail this test, the teacher will yell at me!") than the more adult ("If I fail this test, I'll have failed as a person") type of worry. Haha, I just though...

Re: Questions About Writing Children...
@Applegate I feel dumb for not thinking of that, haha! I definitely have some memories I can put to use. @AgniTami Luckily, the main character isn't a adult child (at ALL xD). @Tetiel Thank you thank you thank you! Especially for pointing out that children's behavior varies. And I have no idea why I...

Questions About Writing Children...
In the VN I'm writing, there are scenes in the beginning where the main character is young. And it skips around in time, from seven, to eleven, to twelve, etc. But I've never really been around kids that much, so I don't have a good idea of how the main character should act and I always feel like I'...
