Running a Renpy game on Raspberry Pi

Is it possible to run a game on Raspberry Pi? The device being used is a Chromebook. The error message for the game reads: >sh: 0: Can't open Coming-Out-On-Top.sh When trying "./Coming-Out-On-Top.sh" the result is: "bash: ./Coming-Out-On-Top.sh: No such file or directory. Just checking to see if any...

Translations

I was curious to know what your experience has been with translations. Our game has received many requests for translations. It seems like a fairly large project to tackle, given that it's about 200,000 words long. I was wondering how many devs here have translated a commercial game, or perhaps refr...

Re: Cannot locate file, 'is it missing' error message.

Thanks for your help Divona!

I'll ask about those issues!

I do wonder why Renpy would be trying to open the .exe in \AppData\Local when the game is installed in the downloads folder. :?:

Cannot locate file, 'is it missing' error message.

Hi, a player is trying to open a game and is getting the following message:

"Could not execute
C:\Users\IBM_ADMIN\AppData\Local\wz3c17\samplegame-pc\lib\windows-i686\samplegame.exe.
Is it missing?"

Has anyone ever encountered an error message like this before?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks! :)

How do I pause a side sprite's dialogue for 2 seconds?

Situation: - Background is slowly moving, and there's some animation - Side image of character appears, says "hello" I want that side image and "hello" to stay on screen for 2 seconds. The user might click through the hello and they'll miss it due to the moving background. Right now my code looks li...

Loading a save changes sprite's position, fix is odd

While running 6.99.11 (upgraded from 6.99.3), and loading saves, my sprites will jump to the left instead of loading in their default center position. I used all the code fixes indicated on these pages under 6.11.0 and 6.10.0: https://www.renpy.org/dev-doc/html/incompatible.html Using the code, the ...

Re: Ren'Py 6.99.11 Released

Just moved from RenPy 6.99.3 to .11. It seems that when I save and reload the scene, the sprites are now defaulting to the left hand upper corner of the screen, instead of defaulting to the center like they used to. All their poses and such default normally, but their position doesn't. Is this a pos...

Re: Game Won't Run in OS X Sierra

Thanks for the info and offers, everyone. I'm curious, though... won't cross-platform distributions still work if the app is signed? My understanding at this point is that Gatekeeper only copies unsigned .app files to a random location. So if the .app file doesn't get hit with that random move, it w...

Game Won't Run in OS X Sierra

People with OS X Sierra who download my game cannot run it. I suspect this has to do with the fact that I'm using a multi-platform distribution and Sierra copies the .app file to a random location because the game is unsigned, leaving all the assets behind. Currently testing whether a Mac specific b...

Re: Windows 10 issues

Ok, it was a location issue. Worked after deleting and reinstalling. Guess I'll leave this here for posterity and in case it helps anyone with the same problem.

Re: Windows 10 issues

Oh, here's a screenshot of the error message as well. The dot is the same username in both instances.

Not sure why it's looking for a file in a different location, come to think of it. Wondering if that could be the problem?
