Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
Thank you so much to everyone who reviewed the first chapter! There be changes ahead! New art style, aaaand I'll be switching to RenPY! Many of you have recommended this to me, and I've had a play around with it and am impressed with the engine's functionality. More info here: http://lemmasoft.renai...

LINEAR - News & New Samples! (Sci-fi/Drama/GxB)
Announcements and new style samples afoot!! LINEAR is a massive thorn in my side, I love my characters and story at its essence but it's a continual and at times obsessive struggle of perfection for me. At times I'm surprised by the attention it receives and although it flatters me, it also seems t...

Re: Offering VN Character Art Sets
Duly noted redeyesblackpanda! You bring up a good point, I might just switch it over to outright character commissions then! ^^

Commission - VN Character Art Sample
http://www.cerastudios.com/storage/lemmasoft/VN_Char_Haru.png Samples of some character art for Visual Novels I'm willing to do as commissions. I'd probably offer a number of costumes and expressions as above too. Still not sure what I would charge for such a thing, but would love to hear what some...

Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
Haha yes of course! In fact, I'm colouring the next five pages right now. It hasn't had an update since January because I wanted to get Linear out. So I'll be able to get back to it now. :3 Finally... my poor neglected little webcomic...

Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
Thanks so much for these DragoonHP!
I'll bookmark all three of them and try them all out for the second chapter, if it works I'll go back and apply it to the first too.

Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
Hmm... not sure actually. Are you suggesting 'as opposed to the left?' I think a VN I was playing at the time also used that approach, and I looked up a lot of images to see which approaches other UI designers took with VNs. I toyed with two ideas, one with the character sprite up in the main stage ...

Re: What is your religion?
I'm agnostic, but I do have a spiritual side and try to follow the Buddhist mental philosophies as best I can, technically it's not a religion though. Although, I was raised in a Roman Catholic family, was forced to attend Sunday school for years, went to a strict Catholic school... So I did come fr...

Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
I did all my own character and interface artwork.
The backgrounds however, are a mix of 3D renders, some of my own photos, royalty-free stock... and are usually heavily photo-manipulated by me. I'd have loved to drawn my own backgrounds but it would slow my progress waaaaay too much.

Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
Well considering it was exported as an .swf, the only downloadable version I can offer you that self-contained .swf file on DeviantART. http://cera-studios.deviantart.com/gallery/28350609#/d4qb1l5 You'll see the Download File link to the right? You'll need a basic Flash player to play the file outsi...

Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
Okay, finished it now. :D It was quite unique, I started to realise after a few 'days' what was going on with collecting the pieces. It's clever. It amused me that the photos of the people used were probably some royalty-free stock images, bet they never thought they'd end up as 'creepy nurse' and '...

Re: LINEAR - Chapter I
Thanks SorikaMosai! Your insight really helped quell some of the concerns I had about the story, especially how I fed the information to viewers. Being a sci-fi set in a different world... I have a lot of info and background to establish, so the biggest hurdle for me was to try and slowly feed infor...

Re: Pandora's Box (my second renpy game)
This is very well executed. The visuals, the sound... they all work brilliantly together to set an uneasy, tingling atmosphere. I feel I can't relax while paying it, makes me edgy. LOL. Although I'm not too far in yet... but I think I'll put it aside till morning. I live alone and suffer enough vivi...

Doubtful of her abilities to cope in the army, and lost with her direction in life, Lanis’ world is suddenly tur...
