Yes, DVDRs are actually quite unreliable as a permanent storage medium. Not to mention if you try to mass produce on your burner, you'll shorten its life pretty quickly. This is why you would want to pay someone to get you pressed DVDs, which are much better in terms of professionalism.

If its fully voiced and has no pictures, maybe a bit of text.. would it be more worth it just to make it a mp3? But then, it would be hard when you got choices, etc..

Yes, I don't see the point reviving an old topic, going off topic, then bashing. Molitar does present us with a good example of "judging a book by its cover". Hopefully, we'll get some more insightful comments after Molitar has actually tried playing one of the games.

Movies uses both text scripts and storyboards as they both serve different purposes. IMO, I think this should probably be the same for ren'py. Ren'py should probably stay as a scripting engine as that is its original purpose, while the GUI (if there should be one) be a separate project which serves ...

that aside, International law can be touchy since no country can claim sovereignty over another, no single country can actually force another one to enforce an alleged crime against the whole world such as piracy committed in another jurisdiction, if the host country refuses to. In terms of copyrig...

In the US, works are copyrighted by default unless declared public domain.

So what happens when you host it on US servers (renai.us)? Or is copyright binded at the country it is created in?

but what is it about GUI apps that means they definitely produce awful code, A well designed complete GUI solution will mask all the coding from the user as the user is not expected to touch the output. Therefore, it will try to optimize the output code to suit the GUI program normally making it un...

It has been ruled in the court in the past that parody is fair use. Be careful though.

As mentioned, ren'py is quite simple to use as it is. If people can't get down to using it, then they are probably lazy. I am also fine with idea 0, but I'm going to point a few things out from a marketing and business perspective. Right now, ren'py has taken a giant step forward in terms of profess...

I think that the tool that would likely encourage people to use Ren'Py is a Ren'Py->Blade converter. This way, you can try Ren'Py and if you really don't like it just convert it to Blade. This would not make sense because ren'py does everything Blade can do and more. A Blade -> Ren'Py converter is ...
