Re: Converting VNs to be released on consoles
For some reason they rejected mine (possibly because of a) the subject matter and b) makes use of multi-persistent data). Unfortunately that I know of that would do it. I had a similar experience, which to be fair, I understand - it was important to me to create an atypical novel, which I'm sure wo...

Re: Converting VNs to be released on consoles
Yes, look up ratalaika games. http://www.ratalaikagames.com/ I'm not sure what they charge or what's involved, but they've done a couple of Ren'Py to games console ports. Great, that's exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for, thank you very much! If anyone else knows of any other studios/programm...

Converting VNs to be released on consoles
Hey guys, I haven't been following RenPy development for a little while, but I'm hoping to work on a new VN this year so hopefully that'll change soon! I was wondering if it's at all possible to convert my VNs so that they can be released on the major console platforms (Switch/PS/Xbox)? As my techni...

Re: Opening the menu on Android/Apple Devices Via Touch Input
Interesting, it's only appearing at the top of the screen for some reason: https://puu.sh/za8Hk/8b34e0f9f9.jpg
Maybe the fact that I'm using other overlays is screwing things up somewhere? Maybe forcing this overlay to the front will solve it?

Re: Opening the menu on Android/Apple Devices Via Touch Input
Sorry, I'm a bit of a n00b with this stuff, by normal action, do you mean something like the 'show' command? If so should I remove the 'button:' line too? Looking over the code again, where is the check for the 'longpress'? What's triggering the button's action at the moment? Do we not need some sor...

Re: Opening the menu on Android/Apple Devices Via Touch Input
Ah, that could be the issue! Well according to this page here: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/keymap.html, the command should be 'game_menu', but when I change the code to: button: alternate game_menu( 'main' ) I'm getting the following crash when running it on my phone: https://puu.sh/z8gPf/c3e8562...

Re: Opening the menu on Android/Apple Devices Via Touch Input
Thanks very much for this @Remix :) I'd like to get it working before playing around with it but am having an issue doing so. I guess I add this: screen android_overlay(): # variant "android" # probably better to use renpy.variant test as below button: alternate ShowMenu( 'main' ) along wi...

Opening the menu on Android/Apple Devices Via Touch Input
Hey guys, as you know, screen-space on mobile devices is precious, especially when trying to provide a cinematic experience. As such, instead of using the quick menu or an on-screen button, I'd like the menu to be shown (ie the default right-click function) if the player taps and holds anywhere on t...

textbox.png placed differently on phone and tablet - how do I fix this?
I'm using the same textbox.png for both the standard and 'phone' gui, but it's being placed completely differently when ran on a phone: https://puu.sh/yGZG9/9535b9fc63.jpg and tablet: https://puu.sh/yGZCF/b0d832c8c6.jpg? I've attached the file to this post. textbox.png *EDIT* Probably not an ideal s...

Re: Advice Conceerning Promoting A Dark, Psychological Horro
I don't care about Girls in Bikinis. Too much fanservice will turn me off a game actually. I speak German so I'm not turned off by German titles. I like Dark, Psychological Horror. I haven't bought your game. Why might that be? First off, I had no idea your game existed. I tend to look here on LSF ...
