Is there something I can run, like Lint, which can detect unused files?
Hi there everyone - just a simple question, I was wondering if there was something I could run, like Lint, which can detect unused files. I've been working on my first project, and it's been a little bit messy. I'm almost certain that I have at least a few images that are never used in the actual ga...

Re: Small sprite movements which require no correcting, afterwards?
I think you should understand that you're replacing the transform. How should Renpy know what you want after that? The way to do it is this: transform nod: # make sure to put this here animation xanchor 0.5 ease .3 yoffset 20 ease .3 yoffset 0 show girl eyes closed at centpos, nod "She nodded....

[Solved] Small sprite movements which require no correcting, afterwards?
Hi everyone. :) I hope you're doing well. I have a question for you - I've been using small ATL animations for my character sprites for a while, now, and they work fine for the most part, but I've been having a problem: when the animation is interrupted, the offset is kept, and the animation doesn't...

Re: Spellchecking Your Strings/Writing in a Code Editor?
I'd suggest switching to Visual Studio Code, as Atom is very obsolete. The extension I use for VS Code is called "Code Spell Checker" https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=streetsidesoftware.code-spell-checker . Once it's installed, you want to go to PReferences, then pick &...

Re: $ renpy.movie_cutscene() not playing .webm video?
Okay, that file isn't really a webm - it's an mp4 file, containing h264. So it won't play. I'm not that familiar with what tools people are using to convert mp4 to webm, but wikihow shows how to use VLC to do it: https://www.wikihow.com/Convert-a-Webm-File-to-an-MP4-with-VLC I see! Thank you very m...

Re: $ renpy.movie_cutscene() not playing .webm video?
Thank you for your help, both of you. Running it as an image also doesn't work. I guess there is an issue with the file, after all. Here is the file. (I'm not used to sharing files. I just used Google Drive, which is hopefully fine.) A little background on the file - the video was made and exported ...

[Solved] $ renpy.movie_cutscene() not playing .webm video?
Hi there~ I seem to be having a problem using $ renpy.movie_cutscene() in my script to play a .webm video~? As far as I understand, it does try to play the video - the game freezes when I get to that point and, when I click, the game continues on - just as if I clicked to skip through a cutscene. Al...

zyrUqRnXtro This post has been edited - I had originally posted the earlier update video which I refer to, in this video. However, as stated in this video, it was of rather poor quality... so I thought I would edit this post to simply share the superior video, with you guys. Take care, everyone. <3

Re: Spellchecking Your Strings/Writing in a Code Editor?
Hi there, I have a simple question. It's been becoming more clear, lately, that I need to be able to spell check my writing inside of my code editor. Up until now, I've been copying and pasting my writing into a normal text editor like LibreOffice Writer, spell-checking it there, and then copying a...

Re: Is Lemmesoft Dying
I'm fond of forums in general but it does seem that people are largely steering away from them and toward other sites/apps, these days. I'm still glad to use forums from time to time, though, and I understand having nostalgia. And, as Riz said, people here are helpful when I have technical issues......
