Re: Staying motivated when projects aren't successful?
Everyone here has been so kind! I really didn't expect these replies. So many good points are being made that I don't think I can address them all, but I'll do my best! The general consensus among everyone who's replied seems to boil down to a few points. Scale down This rings especially true for me...

PaperDoor Studios has two releases, both with a lot of fantastic work put into them, Let's start from the beginning: I only know one release from Paper Studios: Evolved The game can't be downloaded any more, because all files have been removed from ...

Re: Staying motivated when projects aren't successful?
TL;DR: Define what "success" mean for you. Learn from your mistakes. Consider changing team members, however hard it might be. Focus on smaller projects. Thank you so much for your detailed answer. Before anything else, I want to say how much I appreciate it. DO NOT compare yourself to hi...

Staying motivated when projects aren't successful?
At this point, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. PaperDoor Studios has two releases, both with a lot of fantastic work put into them, and I feel like they've been completely ignored. Even bad reviews would be welcome if it meant someone knew they existed. I've always wanted to create a big visual n...

Re: Writer for a game whose director disappeared
First off, thanks to everyone for your advice. Life happened and I forgot about this thread for a while, but I think I now have a clear idea of what I should do with this project.
Once again, thank you all.
Once again, thank you all.

Re: Truefaiterman - Character and CG artist for hire -
I have had the pleasure of working with Truefaiterman on a couple of projects, and his art never fails to amaze me. He delivers on time, and is very fun to work with. I would highly recommend hiring this man; you will not regret it!

Re: Writer for a game whose director disappeared
The story was entirely my own. The characters and events were all created by myself, and no contract was ever put into the equation.
Thank you, fleet!

Writer for a game whose director disappeared
http://i.imgur.com/uYAUI5a.png Last year I began writing a scenario for another studio. The project was called (she was a) Human Cat-Girl! and featured some of (in my opinion) the best characters I've ever written. Though it had a cliched high school setting, the plot was based in psychology and sc...

Re: Need a logo designer? [CLOSED FOR NOW]
Due to my getting in a job in real life, I am closing my logo services for now. I just don't have enough time to work on this and all my other projects. I may reopen in the future, but for now I want to thank everyone whom I have worked with over the years.

Re: Hark! This Is Golden Millennial Choir [NaNo16 | Music |
Thought I should give a little update. For starters, most of the music has been recorded! We have some very special guest performers as well. Anairis Quinones - Vocals on "Sight of Shoe" and "Hark!" Sayuri Maebara - Vocals on "Security" We are super excited to share the...

Re: Hark! This Is Golden Millennial Choir [NaNo16 | Music |
At the moment I am writing a linear story. Not sure if it is going to stay that way, but I intend to figure that out before I get too deep. As the main focus of the story is the music, putting too much focus on the pursuit of a heroine might be distracting. The song "Security" is coming al...

Re: Making background noise stop when characters speak?
Have you taken a look at config.emphasize_voice? I don't seem to have that anywhere in the Options file. I tried adding it and it returned an error. I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "game/options.rpy", line 329, in script init -1 python hide: Fi...
