Re: PicklingError: Can't pickle <type 'module'>

Because I'm not a programmer, I have no idea about what could be happening :( . But I've found some threads started by people facing the same problem. Maybe they could help you :) . https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42496 https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15606 https:...

Re: Realistic car sway/bounce?

In one of my old and unreleased projects, I've used a similar transform trying to suggest the sensation of being inside a moving car. transform car_moving: ease 0.1 xoffset -1 yoffset 2 ease 0.1 xoffset 0 yoffset 0 ease 0.1 xoffset 1 yoffset -2 ease 0.1 xoffset 0 yoffset 0 repeat Maybe the main diff...

Re: The Other Question

Thank you for the feedback. Of course, I'm counting on your proofreading, when you have the time. As you can see in the rolling credits, the proofreading was made by "no one". At that time, I couldn't find any native English speaker to help me. I had great fun working on that story. The on...

Re: Can you integrate Lua code in Ren'py scripts?

Just for the record: "that Lua thing" is an outstanding scripting language used in many games like "Hungry Birds". Robin4000's question is really interesting. Facepalm! Of course, you know, I meant ANGRY Birds. But I guess most people here know that English is not my language. Oh my...

Re: Music Continue

12 seconds is an extremely long time for a pause 🤨 It's the kind of time you suggest when you are telling someone that loooong pauses will make the player believe the game crashed... Speaking seriously, hard pauses should be avoided but, if we really need to use them, they should not be too l...

Re: Can you integrate Lua code in Ren'py scripts?

I believe that's a question for the "Development of Ren'Py" section viewforum.php?f=32.
Only PyTom himself can give a better answer related to the latest Ren'Py development state. Some things may have changed during the last four years.

Re: Music Continue

Remember that forcing someone to do something is always a no-no... But if you look at the documentation link I gave you you will see there is a hard pause option. Set it to True and the mouse click user interaction will be disabled during the pause. $ renpy.pause(12, hard=True) Of course, looo...

Re: Music Continue

Oops! My fault! We only use "add" to show images on screens. Instead of "scene", you can simply use "show" (as in my example splash screen code). (Silly me. Yes, the scene command works well on a splash screen. I've been using it for years... :? ) Probably a silly question, but have you trie...

Re: Music Continue

The music stops as soon as we change labels or there is a choice, is there a way to play the music continuously and stop it only as I want. I've been following this discussion and I am slightly confused about what exactly are you wanting to achieve. If the only problem is the music stopping when le...

Re: [Solved] Moving various titles to the middle

I started using Ren'Py seven years ago, but I have no better answer. I must say that sometimes (to me, at last) trying to understand the logic behind the styling section of the new GUI is as easy as decyphering δύσκολο να καταλάβουμε.

Re: I don't understand this error

As I said (maybe not very clearly, I admit) before. The error "invalid literal for int() with base 16" in Ren'Py generally points to a color value wrongly typed. Ren'Py recognizes RGB hex values ("#fff" or "#ffffff") or RGBA (A for Alpha or transparency value) hex values ("#ffffff7f"). If you type, ...

Re: Script files disappearances?

Does it affect Atom?
No. :)
Editra is not a virus, it's only "use-it-at-your-own-risk" abandonware.
Even good old jEdit has more features, and it's safer to use.
