That's an old trick, but who knows it still works? Can you run the latest version of Ren'Py on your system? If yes, you can try extracting the game to the Ren'Py projects folder and run it through the Ren'Py launcher.

Maybe it's only me, but I don't believe this project belongs to the "Other Visual Novel Engines" section.

You only need to define the main menu music as usual, then start playing the same music in your splash screen. When it reaches the main menu, the music player will notice it is the same music to play and will continue without interruption. I've been making this for years in my projects.

I had never heard of this creator before but I became curious and found a repository of his/her free backgrounds, resized to 1280x720. Terms of use seem to be the usual: you must credit Kimagure After.

I still believe that's a good practice. It makes the script much more readable IMO (I'm not a programmer).
