Re: Zero Impact - Paranormal Game Looking For Artists
Update: I am back to looking for artists for all parts of the project - sprites, CG, backgrounds, and GUI. We have a lot of writing done and some great music in progress, so the project is otherwise shaping up well. Please PM me if you are an artist who might be interested, I can provide a working p...

Re: Zero Impact - Paranormal Game Looking For Artists
Update: The game now has a sprite and CG artist as well as a composer. Writing and coding is probably around forty percent complete.
I am still looking for a background artist and for anyone willing to help with the GUI. I'll be posting a WIP thread once I have some art to show.

Re: Writing about Romance while Lacking Understanding
Writers successfully write interesting and compelling work about things they don't personally understand or have firsthand experience with all the time. Tales of war and combat are frequently written by people who don't have any experience with the topics. For an even more extreme example, look at a...

Re: Zero Impact - Paranormal Game Looking For Artists
There's a lot of overlap between IF and VN, but there are also some distinct differences. I think you're absolutely right to say that the difference in the level of player interaction is key. I am aiming to make a VN, not an interactive adventure game or some sort of 'IF with pictures'. Still, I'm h...

Zero Impact - Paranormal Game Looking For Artists
EDIT: A sprite and CG artist has been found, as well as a composer. I am still looking for a background artist and a GUI artist. Hey there, folks. I'm a writer/coder with some experience making purely text-based interactive fiction. I've decided to give a visual novel a try, and I'm looking for an ...

Re: Cinders - a serious take on a fairytale
Played the demo, then bought it immediately. Very polished and impressive. Both the writing and the art are of exceptional quality so far.

I Wanna be the Guy, hands down. Took me close to a year to finish it, but I kept at it anyways.

Re: Does anyone miss Final Fantasy?
Speaking about MMORPG FF, they should have make a separate series rather than merging it with the main series (using only numbers on them), like "Final Fantasy Online" or something like that. Couldn't agree more. It's particularly strange in that they made Final Fantasy Tactics its own se...

Re: Is it worth creating a historical fiction VN?
There are so many popularly accepted 'truths' about certain periods of history that a highly accurate piece of historical fiction is probably just as likely to be regarded as inaccurate as one which actually is inaccurate. Furthermore, even professional historians often have disagreements about the ...

Re: Does anyone miss Final Fantasy?
I thought 12 was somewhat underrated. Making everyone speak in a terrible faux-Shakespearian dialect was a big mistake that detracted from an otherwise decent narrative and some gameplay ideas that I thought were fun and innovative. But yeah, the series is seriously moving downhill. 10-2, 11, 13, 13...

I'm a criminal defense attorney. Used to be a prosecutor, but I recently switched over and opened my own practice.
Re: Guestbook
Hey everyone,
I've been writing and coding as a hobby for a while, and recently I've decided to try my hand at doing a fully project with Ren'py. I've enjoyed a lot of the work I've seen generated by the community here, and I'm looking forward to making my own contributions.
