Re: The last day - NaNoRenO idea

I've sent the message now :) Also I'd like to know if you join, if you are open to releasing the result with a creative commons license. It's basically so that if anyone wants to use the work in any way (add graphics, extend the story or use part of it in another story) they may do so if they give c...

Re: The last day - NaNoRenO idea

Ah yes, I don't know if I can help much since I can't draw and I only know Ren'Py a little, but if I can be an idea bouncer or some sort, I'll be glad to help since your idea is very interesting. As I said before, it remind me of that light novel since that light novel revolve used the "repeating t...

Re: The last day - NaNoRenO idea

It's great you want to join! :D I read through your story in that other thread, and it sounded interesting too. I think we won't have any problems working together. I'd like to send you a PM with some of the ideas I have for the story so far (and some spoilers I shouldn't put in this thread :P). Of ...

Re: The last day - NaNoRenO idea

At first, this story remind me of the light novel Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria on the first volume. Well, the story is interesting for me. I do enjoy a bit of mystery every now and then. And I'm curious as how she "realize" that the world is repeating itself. That may be the trick of the story. ...

Re: NanoReno - 2013

Posting again to say that I have an idea for a game I might make for nanoreno. If you want to join me just let me know :) Elisabeth is a girl who lives in a small quiet German village and who enjoys stargazing, and one night she stumbles upon a small schack out in the woods. Inside she meets the sci...

The last day - NaNoRenO idea

Hey everyone! I've decided that I'd like to participate in NaNoRenO in March, and I thought of an idea I might want to try. I'm posting in the ideas forum instead of "NaNoRenO progress" since this is still an idea and hasn't started yet. Anyone who wants to join me, just let me know! :D Regardless o...

Re: NanoReno - 2013

This sounds fun, and might the just the motivation I need to do something :) I think I'll try to do something as a writer. A mystery or something sounds fun. If anyone want to join me, just let me know :) especially if you want to do art, but no art skill whatsoever is required. I don't want to aim ...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

I totally agree! This was fun and I would love to do it again, especially if the prompt/resources weren't as restrictive. Part of the reason I didn't read all entries was that they started to feel a bit the same after a while :? I think that's not the prompt's fault. There were lots of directions y...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

Oh giddy, results are out! Congratulations to the winners! :D Anyone who felt they scored lower than they should, shouldn't feel discouraged. There were so many entries, so we all didn't have time to read them all (guilty as charged). And we also only had 3 votes each, I know at least one entry I wo...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

The Golden Hound The most obvious thing with this entry is all the spelling errors. This is a pity, because the author seems to have had a pretty good plan for the game otherwise. The thing that annoyed me most was not the spelling mistakes, but the long and often hard-to-read sentences. They made ...

Re: I Need Your Critiques (Update: I'm Using Your Critiques)

Let me just say this: Wow! When I first played Coming out on top I thought the graphics were pretty good. Looking at your newest picture compared to the collage I must say the old style doesn't stand a chance against what you're capable of now. The lines, the shading, the colors... And it lo...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

Sacrifice First of all, I must say I enjoyed this entry. When I was trying to think about why, I couldn't really say why at first. Matthew was a well-defined character, but nothing that was significantly better than all other entries. The story was interesting, but not super special considering the...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

The Face of Tragedy The first impression I had when playing this was that I thought it was weird that the sad/serious music was playing so much in the beginning (when the MC should rather be idle/surprised). The next thing I noticed was that the use of the prompt was pretty standard, and I felt I h...

Re: How do you play VNs?

I usually try to choose the path I would take myself (or sometimes make up a character to play like, like a flawless person or an idiot :D). I initially feel I want to try out all paths, but depending on the structure of the choices in the game I might change my mind. If the choices are only of the ...

Re: The Spirit Of Disaster (Competition 2012)

Fairy tales of innocent children I've already reviewed this, but after reading through this thread I remembered another thing. I still think it's great, but one thing that was just a slight bit off-putting was that Dani used a bit more formal language than I'd expect from a child. Just a minor rema...
