Re: Writing vs. Drawing
I Can't use a tablet, I don't have the correct hand-eye coordination to use one. (Too used to drawing on paper.) My pen doesn't do pressure sensitivity in Photoshop (and I still don't know why not #@!) Scanning a drawing results in More work than simply drawing it straight into Photoshop because on...

Re: NanoReno - 2013
The fact that others are debating with themselves about having some early work/planning done makes me feel relieved - and solidifies my desire to do the project I've been sorta working on~ So, yay. I've been stalking this thread to see who might need an artist, but nothing has caught me. Might as we...

Re: When is a good time to start looking for an artist(s)?
It's one of those moments you have to use your best judgement - what works for you? You want them sooner than later. Your friend wants them later rather than sooner. Why is that, and more importantly, how will that affect you? (And the group, in this case.) You could think of art as a reward - It's ...

Re: Works based on classical material
The ghostly turn this thread took was a lot of fun to read. :> I feel odd about interrupting, but, oh, The Highwayman ... It's been made into some gorgeous picture books. The edition with illustrations done by Charles Mikolaycak were in the version I read as a young girl, and the image of Bess at th...

Re: Dealing with slow character artist...
True enough, whether or not the game will ever be finished doesn't matter so much when you're being paid real wages; when you're working for "free" (or almost for free, like the OP's artist), you're really getting paid in a different way. I think it can be trusted that most free artists ar...

Re: Dealing with slow character artist...
Is your game only 33% written, as it says in your thread? Because I have to say, writers are just as unreliable as artists... :/ Keep going with placeholders is a good suggestion; finish everything you can, and then seriously worry about your artist. In the time it takes to finish, they might have c...

Re: Main Character: Not visible, half body or bust view?
I sincerely hate it when the main character has no face. ;-; I need the distance! I've felt awkward and embarrassed when the MC never appeared. (I also can't stand using my own name in games, as a related feeling.) I just don't play games to be me. I want to root for the MC! It's a more outside view...

Some basic male characteristics: [...] - Wrist has an extra bone , and the hands are larger and less "delicate" than a female's hands. Also, a male's ring finger (4th finger) is longer than their index finger while a female's index finger is longer than the ring finger. ...uh, extra bone,...

Yes, more information on the story would be nice!

Re: I Love You, Brother [BxB] [Simulation] [No incest!]
I'm so glad you went for it and released it on your own! Downloading now! I've ran into a lot of.. I don't want to say problems, but maybe. On the first day, I was able to buy all of the gifts and two outfits for my brother and then give him all of them at once. It caused a weird repeat of dialog t...

Oh wow, how gorgeous!
I really like Tsundere-kun's hair~
(What's wrong with turning out as a pretty boy sort of character, anyway?)
I'm curious what other stereotypes you'll do. (:

The light color of her eyes doesn't work for me - everything else seems fine,
but the bottom part of her eyes are kind of blending into her skin.

Re: Can there be too much plot? How to deal with it?
And as to deciding what will and will not appear... well, what are you trying to say with this game? Why are you making it? 0: But, you mean the theme of the story. Goddamn good question. I have to think. There might be too many themes. Maybe that's why? [...] This explains at least some of my prob...

I just want to second the camping of this thread and watching for tips while cheering for the OP. c: The improvements are massive, and the insights have been really good (serratus anterior muscles, nice)... I can't say much myself, other than I've found focusing on bones and muscles helpful, and the...
