Re: Ways to make a "slice of life" story interesting?

I think the important thing to consider when writing these types of scenes is that it needs to leave an impact. Even if it's just them preparing their lunch for later, the scene should evoke character and help you learn more about them. Filler scenes can be nice depending on what outcome you want bu...

Re: [DISCUSSION]What art style speaks to you the most?

For the most part i enjoy clean art. It can be in 3D/2D/2.5D. Paper/Pen/Digital/Anime/Cartoon whatever. As long as it looks like a complete look and looks clean than i can enjoy it.

Re: Help me? Q.Q

Find common interests. Look for something you can do together such as having a movie buddy, reading buddy, anime buddy, or a tennis buddy or art buddy. Even if its just someone you casually go with to go grab a bite to eat and chat during dinner it's something to fill the time to get started. Things...

Re: The last book you read or what are you reading right now

Finished reading "The Strange Library" By Haruki Murakami the same day i got it. (it's 96 pages long with half of them being full page illustrations and big text.) It's my first glimpse into his books and it was generally okay. Nothing super metaphysical but left a lot of interesting quest...

I just sent this in to Anne but I'll also post it on here in case anyone wants to see. I made a really crappy Twine game. It's short crude and pitiable. I hope you enjoy. (It's about the shinsengumi. Of which i knew next to nothing about before starting this.) http://www.philome.la/AlcantarRene/anne...

Still reading Cinnamon and Gunpowder. It's a cool book about pirates and cooking with middle aged main characters. Pretty sweet deal!

Re: How do you write your script?

I tend to write down focal points that i want to happen than start connecting them. I mostly use Notepad and WordPad due to not being bothered to get something better. Than i just copy pasta onto renpy and add the code in either manually or copy pasta. As they say "If it ain't broke".

Re: Secret Santa 2014

This sounds really neat. Count me in. My wishlist: Euphoric Confession BGM. A background track of bliss to be played when the final confession of her/his love is finally displayed. Short Character Vignettes. A short impressionistic scene that focuses on one moment or gives a trenchant impression abo...

Re: Victorian Olives Release [BoyxGirl][Kinetic][Voiced]

I have uploaded the build for each separate OS in hopes that it works for everyone now. I cannot test Mac or Linux so feel free to message me or leave a comment here if it works or not. Re: Victorian Olives Release [BorxGirl][Kinetic][Voiced]

When I tried to extract the Winzip file, I got an error message saying "Central and local directory mismatch for file "Victorian Olives-2.0-all/Victorian Olives.app/Contents/Info.plist" (general purpose flags - local: 0 hex central: 800 hex". Not sure if it has anything to do wi...

Victorian Olives Spell/Sentence/Image/Sound [CLOSED]

Hello good people. After nearly a year i finally have a build for my first visual novel. I lost hope of ever finishing it but after all the hard work people have other than myself put into it i couldn't just let it sit. I have worked out all or real near all of the actual coding and all that jazz. I...

Re: Victorian Olives [BxG][Romance]

The game is not dead. I hit a small speed bump some time ago. With my coder leaving the project i took up coding. I had messed up a few lines but i fixed all the problems. The game is near completion but i have to add in all the voice files. I'd like to apologize to everyone waiting on this project....
