Re: Help with bust/waist/hip measurement
Have you considered measuring yourself and use that as a base for reference? I would wager that my sex would provide to be a rather unreliable source base ;) You're struggling to figure out the numbers, and I suspect that most players will similarly struggle to even have an understanding of what th...

Help with bust/waist/hip measurement
Hi there, I cannot guess bust /waist / hip measurements of women, but I would like to, so that I could provide some for my female characters. Googling this resulted mainly in sites like "How do I measure them?" and "What are the perfect measures?", which is pretty useless to me. ...
Re: Guestbook
I'm here, wohoo! So my name is Ayutac, I'm from Mayence in Germany (where we call it "Mainz") and I'm 21 years old. Wow, writing that down really makes me feel old. I clearly remember when I wrote "16" and that is 5 years gone already... Well anyway, I do somehow more projects (...

Help needed for Copyright Issues with my game
Hello there! First off, I was wondering, if I should make a new thread or post my thoughts in the game thread but I was afraid my problem wouldn't be really noticed then. I also posted this thread in the PokeCommunity since there are a lot of fan games, but I thought you guys could probably help as ...

Re: Can i place RenPy statements within a Python block?
I don't know about the Ren'Py environment. But there are at leasr two ways to deal with that. 1. Find out the python commands. E.g. this scene bg world "You notice Eileen" show Eileen happy at right with fade Player "Hello Eileen!" translates to this python: renpy.scene() renpy.s...

Escape from dialog possible but shouldn't (screen problem)
[ Problem with nested interactions ] [ method in screen problem ] EDIT: Today on the 6.1.'13 was the first time I found a topic of mine with search function and it helped me solving the problem. Prosit! Until the point I encountered another one in this very context. So, I'm calling an inventory scr...

Re: [Solved] Conditional textbuttons in Quickmenu don't work
Protocol-Post: I wrote a function like python: shortcutToApartment(): narrator("You take a shortcut.") location = iLocOwnApartment and added textbutton _("To Apartment") action [shortcutToApartment, Jump('worldReturn')] in the appropriate menu, where in worldReturn the jump to th...

Re: [Discussion] Where does "own content" start?
Then by your own logic, that person who spent those three hours creating their own piece put far more time and effort into their work than you did with that seven hour tracing. I don't get how my example leads there but it's true anyway. And that person you traced from? They are a hired professiona...

Re: [Discussion] Where does "own content" start?
Might be worthwhile to have a look at what deviantart considers fanart to be - FAQ572 plus there's an interesting link on that FAQ to an article about it. Indeed, with a proper citation and link I might add :) Original fan art are those works in which the submitting artist has done 100% of the work...

Re: Sponsorship for projects
Thank you for the support! Though as it seems the demand for such help is not that big at the forums and even the promise of free art doesn't motivate writers to work on their own project. I'm not closing it though, so feel free to PM me. I wouldn't say that. See, a lot of people on this board are ...

Re: [Discussion] Where does "own content" start?
[Consequences of plagarism] Ten years is hard. In Germany Top Time is 3 years, if commercially done 5 years. It would be interesting to know the time for other crimes in those states. E.g. in Germany sexual abuse of children is up to 10 years. So I'm having a hard time imagining a case of plagarism...

Re: Conditional textbuttons in Quickmenu don't work
Ah, I understand.
My idea was that I just remembered that SetVariable or as above Jump work with arguments, so I thought it would do so with any method. I think I did my hardest to forget about curry, never used it so far and with Jump I won't do so any soon.
Thanks, you two!

Re: [Discussion] Where does "own content" start?
If this fictional world contains many similar concepts and places by very similar names with your OCs following a similar story to the original, then it'll probably be considered plagiarism (which is much worse here in the US). Oh really? I mean, socially it is probably worse *ahem*50Shades*ahem*, ...

[Solved] Conditional textbuttons in Quickmenu don't work
In my original script I get cryptical error messages. I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "game/intro.rpy", line 69, in script scene bg apartment with fade File "game/screens.rpy", line 310, in <module> use quick_menu #xalign 0.0 yalign 0....
