Re: Your most favorite obscure game?
I've got Monster Rancher (the original) still, play it off and on, it's a fun game, not to mention a good time-waster =) I always got a kick when the monster is obviously female (Pixie class) and Holly still refers to the monster as a HE....Holly flunks basic biology! :) It's too bad Monster Rancher...

Re: Most precious game in your collection?
It's not my favorite by any means, but there is one part of Chrono Cross that I LOVE - the *Opera with Nikki*, where you beat the Black Dragon the *real way*....it's WONDERFUL, and, after beating the dragon, even Nikki's critics are totally shocked and amazed at that...it's definitely a good piece!

Re: —You made it. You played it. Your shit is overrated.—
Datarsboy: ButtercupSaiyan is the BCS here :) I haven't made any vns myself (working on a full fledged novel though!)...having said that, I can generally tell when a game was totally rushed or poorly executed...lots of spelling errors, that a simple proofread would pick up? Graphics that look like a...

Re: Replaying and replaying again!
I've been a gamer for 24 years so I think I can shed a bit of light on this! When I replay a game, I look for a few things: what's changed (new scenes? new characters?) whether I need to go through absolutely everything again (taking 15 hours just to see a new branch? PASS) and whether the plot, and...

Re: Best character in a game? NOT THE PROTAGONIST!
I really get a kick of out what the others here really like as far as supporting characters go...think I'll add another (sorry, for double post!)
Corus White from Garden Society Kykuit! He's nice, friendly, admits his own faults, and really makes the main character feel at ease.

From FF7....
Barrett is a major hoot, he talks big, can CERTAINLY back it up, but at the same time you see bits of tenderness with him - usually with his daughter. I am told that Barrett was modelled somewhat after Mr T...I can see the resemblse between them. *I pity the fool that messes with me!*

Re: Cute Knight Kingdom (sim/RPG, Windows only, commercial)
The ToL refernce was when the MC goes after evil mushrooms...but that may not have been intentional! Weird how you go for one ending and another pops up well beforehand! Still searching for that last recipe card! Thought it was one, but not so sure now....either that or I needed more than I had, and...

Re: Cute Knight Kingdom (sim/RPG, Windows only, commercial)
I noticed an odd error while playing this...The sign for Deborah's beach getaway says she is open from Planting to Gods months...but she shows up in Grass, a month early. Not REALLY complaining, mind you, just the *board* doesn't seem to match when she's there. Also, noticed that you seemed to sneak...

I did watch part of it - was amazed to see the Oregon State Beavers get dominated like that...I'm sure the wind had something to do with it, but still....bad way to go, losing a close game against archrival Oregon then losing like that to BYU

Re: Cute Knight Kingdom (sim/RPG, Windows only, commercial)
Looks like it just APPEARS that a few might have glasses but don't - it kind of looks like Sehk does, but he doesn't... One things I've noticed is that there's a LOT of different things that can happen - like other characters visiting the main character because she were there, or little pieces of in...

Re: Cute Knight Kingdom (sim/RPG, Windows only, commercial)
Dang that is FUN!! It's very engaging, the characters are pretty fleshed out, the side quests are fun (at least I THINK they are side quests...) the music fits, the artwork is good...I only have a few minor issues, and I think one of those are a fluke... Load times was the big issue, it's not bad at...

Re: Choice for beta testing
I agree on here....we generally do a good job with beta testing and offering *pros and cons* - heck I've beta tested a few games here with pros and cons, and what I felt worked, and what needed work...I have no idea on 4chan, but from what I've heard....if you want betatesters, that's NOT were to go...

Hmmm If it's *Got to go through Ami's path first because she has something that will help with Mei* I don't mind so much...but if it's *You are doing Ami's route first because that's the route we want you to go to first, never mind you think Mei's so much better, and there's no real reason not to tr...
