Re: Truefaiterman's Art [Always Looking for feedback]

Hey! Here you go, I have done a rough paintover for you and tried not to alter the original image too much so to try and retain the mood you set with the piece, I hope this helps and I have added a brief explaination as to what I did. First off I moved the samurai back and extended the canvas so tha...

Re: Critique background art

@Steamgirl: Thanks for the tip as this will certainly save me some time :) and your right using gradients works wonders.

@Kinmoku: Glad it helped, I worry I don't explain things very well.

Re: Critique background art

Hope you don't mind but I thought I would give the first image a try. Your image I think is 90% of the way there but you need to push your light and darker values. Tempus is right, for instance you have really bright light rays coming from the window and yet your room is already quite light, if you ...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

Sorry not much but I recently just got over some food poisoning and I hope never to get it again, so I figured with the short time I would try and make a skyscraper of my own, rough sketch that i started to turn into a logo or something for no reason at all.

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

@Railgun: Thanks, funny though because I feel the same way about everyone else which drives me further :D nice idea with the guy trying to achieve inner peace, I feel like that when drawing. @unknown5: gives me the chills, last dying breath sort of thing although I want to believe that the other sid...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

@crestforge: Whoa! my jaw dropped to the floor when first seeing this, that's fantastic and also reminds me a lot of gilgamesh from fate/stay night :D

Are you going to finish it or leave it as is?

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

It's DEATH BED
the bed that eats people
XD
Certainly gives a different meaning to death bed confessions :)

I really do lose track of time but here is mine, combined it with an exercise from concept cookie about infection :)

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

@crestforge: lol, questing is never over, for quick and dirty that's pretty nice.

Here is my submission, wanted to make it bleak but ended being quite colourful :? does it meet the "I'd rather be in bed right now!" theme not sure.

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

@Katta: yep, yep which is why i make quick thumbnails so i can one day maybe go back to them, otherwise i just tend to look at art for inspiration and lose a couple of hours and realise i haven't done anything of what i was planning :( The cat may have bitten off more than it can chew :) and i have ...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

hehe, the love for zombies is strong here. Every day, we'd exchange a psd file through PM after we'd worked sufficiently on the image (thankfully Kohaku didn't wait for me!). yeah i did get a tad carried away with this :) @sasquatchii: looks really misunderstood, really just a soft and cuddly firemo...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

Ah! I really should reply sooner, but it's nice to see so many varied takes on the idea, here is my thoughts on what I see in some of the images. @Anne: a very sweet image, i'm thinking a letter from her father who is away, but writes to her one letter every week. @Duskylli: makes we wonder what or ...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

@Railgun: Nope, why....what do you see? you've made me curious now :) i wish i could say i had a story in mind when making this but i don't, i just made a lot of monster silhouettes, picked the one i liked and a happy accident occured of having it's hand around its nose which i really liked, and eve...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

@kohaku What on earth is that? It looks freakin cool, except I'd be terrified of riding either. hehe, as railgun said it is a golem, well at least my version of a golem fighting a squid like monster, basically i envision a mystic tribe living in/on a sacred tree that empowers the golem to move, the...
