having problem with load screen[solved]
When I click on the Load button in the main menu screen, this error pops up: I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. Can Ren'Py do poly image maps?
I know that Ren'Py image maps are defined as a rectangle, can it also map irregular shapes as well (like a star, pentagon, etc.)?
If it can, how can it be done?

Personal NaNoRenO - The Secret of Hamashi Mura
This thread is more of a self motivational mechanism for myself to come up with my first game and doubles as a developer's diary. What more than to share with the world what you're working on to give yourself that motivational injection right? ^.^ Of course, I won't start the thread empty handed. Le...

Re: In search of a true motivation.
LVUER, your week by week breakdown is useful. Thanks for sharing Such a breakdown of tasks can be handled easier in making a short game, even when you're pressed for time methinks. This little newbie will give it a shot and see how it goes ^.^;;;

I say two different versions is good. I'm with PyTom over the hot coffee thing. A separate safe version would mean that younger people can play it as well.

Re: Help / Pointers in writting
Deji's post is very informative. I only like to add: * Don't rush things. I personally find myself writing too fast and increasing the pace too much to reach "that next idea" in my head to complete the story. In the end it ended up being too short, rushed and not enough development. >.> I ...

Re: An educated VN?
What I would suggest is having a second or third opinion on the script that you've written before rolling out the game. Philosophical or subtle messages in dialogue and written content only works if it's understood by the players. Otherwise it'd just be throwing around words to make your characters ...
