By games I meant the fighting genre you don't see people making soul calibur like games or any other fighting games on the computer Mmm... guess why :). And it's not exactly true, there are smaller fighting game projects coming out on PC, but they're more "traditional", following the Marv...

I agree with what monele said... making a fighting game - especially if you don't have much experience - is not easy. You'll have to seriously consider most of his questions above. Having said that, if you're planning to work alone, and you're fairly new to making games and/or programming in genera...

So, you want to make Smash bros. bis? How much do you plan to copy this source? Do you want it to be in 3D? How many characters do you want? How many stages? Will it use Smash bros. fighting style or another brawler's style? (insert many other questions about game design...) And then, the big quest...

Can't really give you much, aside from "Ren'Py is for games where narrative and plot are the main focus." I hear C++ is for the "heavy-duty" games, like the games that need massive calculations and simulations done, and I'm saying this because it looks like you're reaching for t...

You'd have to start from semi-scratch to make a fighting game. If you're integrating it with Ren'Py, this basically means renpygame. Otherwise, you have various options. Piglet, Pygame, SDL, Allegro, OpenGL, DirectX... there are plenty of libraries that let you draw to the screen, in 2D and/or 3D. ...

I have been trying to make a game like the Super smash bros. series and I have tried using mugen like my friends said but it didn't work with making this game.
